PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: Following Amanda’s elimination, Timothee and Bill knew they were probably on the outs of their tribe, and Timothee knew he would have to hustle in the next immunity challenge. That immunity challenge came, and it was a race through a muddy maze and obstacle course collecting puzzle pieces to put together a giant puzzle at the end. Jordan and Timothee took the rain for Lights Tribe, while Derek and Nikki tried to lead the pack for the Camera tribe. It was incredibly close, but Ariel’s failure on the puzzle led to team Lights getting the win. Back at the Camera tribe, Ariel apologized for the loss, and Joey, Lea, and Derek decided to target her next. They tried to pull in Alton, as he was on his own, and pitched him to go after Ariel. Meanwhile, Snooki and Steve met up with Nikki and Ariel to go after Joey, who they had wanted out for a while now. Snooki was worried that they would target her with her idol. At tribal council, Joey said that he had beef with Snooki and Steve from earlier, but knew that keeping the tribe strong was the most important thing right now. Snooki felt like it would be her vs. Joey until the very end, and one of them had to go at some point. When the vote was tallied, Snooki got up to play her idol, hoping it would save herself. Turns out, she never got any votes, as four votes came for Ariel, and four votes came for Joey. The group took a revote, and it was tied again, three votes Ariel, three votes Joey. They then had to go to rocks. The only people safe were Ariel, Joey, and since she played the idol, Snooki. It was totally random and up in the air, which made Lea nervous, for she had an idol in her pocket that she didn’t get to play. Nikki, Steve, Alton, Lea, and Derek revealed their rocks, and in a shocking turn of events, Nikki was the one with the purple rock. Shocked and embarrassed, Nikki left tribal council, surprising everyone, especially Ariel, her closest ally. Lea and Derek were excited, since Nikki had flipped on them a while ago, and now they could get her out and flush Snooki’s idol all at once.
