PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: With Snooki still around, Kathy almost broke down in tears, feeling responsible for Kaitlyn’s elimination. Joey comforted her, hoping they’d find an idol. Snooki, however, wanted to go searching for an idol to secure her own safety going forward. She had Steve keep lookout, while Ben and Tamera tried to distract Kathy and Joey at camp. Snooki was able to find it, and shared the news with her alliance of four. At the Camera beach, Frankie was feeling good about his alliance of four with Nikki, Lea, and Derek. Nikki, however, was feeling unsure about her position in that group, and talked to Ariel about maybe bringing in Amanda and Timothee to make a big move. “I feel like I’m the fourth person in an alliance with those three, and I’d rather not be in that position,” she said. On the Lights Camp, Bill kept looking for an idol. Alton was becoming paranoid at this, and went to find his own idol. Tia and Jordan began to see the paranoia sinking in, and Kate made the suggestion of just going after Alton before Bill. The three of them talked to Julie about it, and Julie said she’d be okay with that if it came to it. At the immunity challenge, it was told that each tribe would go to tribal and they’d each compete individually today. The challenge involved a slide puzzle, simple as that. Lights was first, and it was between Julie and Bill, but Julie was able to succeed first, winning immunity. On the Camera tribe, Frankie was way ahead, but found himself in a dead end, and Lea, Nikki, Amanda, and Ariel were all on his tail, with Amanda being able to overcome a win. She was so proud of her accomplishment, knowing she was an underdog in this game. Action was next, and all of them were struggling. Ben was in a rough spot, but decided to help his friend Snooki, in which she went on to win immunity. Back at camp, Kathy was mad that Ben helped Snooki and wanted to go after him next.
On the Lights camp, Alton could get the sense that nobody was talking to him. He wanted to get Bill out, but knew that he might need to use Bill for an ally. He asked Bill if he had an idol, and Bill said “absolutely not.” Alton just didn’t trust it, but still decided to tell Bill to vote for one of the younger kids in case. “I think Kate is the most sketchy, and we need Jordan in the long run. Tia isn’t a threat right now.” Alton decided to go idol searching last minute before tribal in case. At tribal council, Alton said he had sensed a weird vibe in the air. Kate tried defending it saying that the tribe was just clicking very well. Bill argued that, saying that he had not spoken to literally anyone except for Jordan, and it was because he had a science question. Jordan said that he would love to keep getting to know everyone, and didn’t want any animosity. After the vote, Alton stood up, revealing that he HAD found the idol. Bill was excited. The votes came in, and 4 of them were for Alton, which didn’t count. Alton and Bill’s votes for Kate came in, ending her journey early, and sending her packing with 2 votes to her name.
On the Camera beach, Frankie, Nikki, Derek, and Lea met to discuss the plan, and they decided since Amanda won, they’d put their votes on Timothée, who would be the biggest threat down the line. Nikki knew that she had the opportunity to make a big move, but didn’t know if her tribe could lose someone as strong as Frankie this early. It was obvious that Ariel, Timothée, and Amanda were going for him, and Nikki had the decision to make. Amanda said at tribal how she was proud she was finally breaking out of her shell, and Frankie said that he felt like he was already off to a great start with so many nice people. Ariel said how she felt like she was a bit on the outs, but hoped to survive the vote. When the vote came around, nobody played an idol. Frankie and Timothée each got 3 votes, leaving it down to Nikki’s vote. In a shocker, Nikki voted out Frankie, ending his journey on Survivor, and equally shocking Lea and Derek. Amanda, Ariel, and Timothée were happy that they had Nikki on their side, and the underdogs were ready to take the competition by storm. Frankie was upset walking out of tribal, hoping he’d get another shot someday.
On the Action beach, Joey and Kathy were pissed that Ben helped out Snooki, and tried to get Tamera and Steve on their side to vote Ben out. Ben knew he may be the target, and tried to get Tamera and Steve on his side to vote out Kathy, seeing that it would be easier to go into a tribe swap or merge with Joey rather than Kathy. Snooki was worried that Steve and Tamera wouldn’t go for Kathy because she was okay in challenges. At tribal council, Snooki hoped she didn’t have to play her idol since she was safe with immunity. When the votes came in, Kathy got two and Ben got two. The last two went for Kathy, ending her journey. The tribes then found out they would be separated into two tribes, Lights and Camera, meaning Team Action would no longer exist. Joey was happy to have this moment to revamp his game that was crumbling before him.
