PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: After being on his own, Bill Nye saw an opportunity to try and search for the idol. He searched for a while, but ultimately, Alton spotted him searching. Alton kept this information secret, for he could use it at a later time, but knew he could also expose Bill if he got the chance. At the Camera beach, Amanda was feeling better after suffering minor heat stroke. Everyone on the team was comforting for her, knowing it was tough adjusting to a new area. Amanda opened up about her addiction problems and how this was an amazing way to rehabilitate, but also felt like the toll of the game was definitely catching up on her. Frankie pulled aside Nikki, knowing she was the strongest woman on the season, asking her for a final two alliance. Nikki thought it was very soon, and had no interest working with someone as shady as Frankie, but agreed. Frankie told Lea that he would love to pull in her and Derek as well with Nikki and get out Ariel, Timothée, and Amanda first. Lea and Derek noticed that Frankie was playing hard out the gate, but knowing he had experience in this type of game, they decided to get on board with it. At the Action beach, Snooki was complaining to Ben about Kathy. Ben didn’t want to hear Snooki complaining, but figured it would be good to use this tension and maybe keep Snooki, a bigger target, around. “She isn’t a danger to my game, but because other people don’t like her, it’s a good reason to keep her around.” Joey and Kaitlyn made a final two deal, and said that they wanted Snooki out, and talked to Kathy about it. Kathy definitely wanted Snooki to go. Tamera and Steve bonded, feeling like they hadn’t really been approached by anyone yet. Steve knew that Kathy was a big threat, and maybe getting her out would be a good move. At the challenge, Amanda and Snooki sat out. The challenge involved throwing balls into hoops in a water challenge while teammates tried to deflect them. The Lights tribe made up for their last effort when Jordan dominated the shooting aspect, and Kate was solid in deflecting the balls. Frankie and Nikki were the primary shooters for Camera, while Kaitlyn and Kathy tried to defend the goals. Kathy defended every ball that came her way, but Kaitlyn struggled to deflect any of them, and all of the balls went past her. Team Action lost, and had to go to tribal. Back at camp, Kaitlyn, Joey, and Kathy talked about pulling Steve in to get rid of Snooki. Steve heard Kathy out, but had a different plan. He and Tamera met to talk about getting out Kathy, but Tamera had a different plan. “What if we go after Kaitlyn? That way we keep the tension between Kathy and Snooki, and can get out someone who’s worse in challenges.” Steve heard her out, and tried to talk to Snooki. “The way we can keep you safe is if you vote Kaitlyn.” Snooki didn’t want to vote for anyone but Kathy. Tamera talked to Ben, telling him the plan, hoping to sway Snooki’s mind. At tribal council, it was evident that Kathy knew it was between her and Snooki, and said that she hoped to make a good enough relationship with some people to stay. She also said that her challenge strengths would be needed. Ben did commend her on her challenge abilities. Joey said that the tribe was still just figuring out how to work cohesively as a unit. Kaitlyn said she knew she didn’t do the best, but still wanted to keep morale for the team high above all else. When the votes came in, Snooki got three off the bat. Kathy expected to see her name, but instead, Kaitlyn got the next four votes, ending her Survivor journey and shocking her alliance. Kathy and Joey were surprised, but respected the big move. Kathy was just glad to be safe, but not very happy to see Snooki still there.
