PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: After Dylan and Alexis flipped to join Joel in voting out Vanessa, Cirie was incredibly hurt and told her friend Andrea that they needed to go after them. Andrea, however, knew that Dylan, Alexis, and Joel were three of the toughest immunity threats, and wanted to join them, rather than go against them. She knew that having an idol was great, but since Joel had played his idol, she knew another one was out there. She searched under the water well and found a clue that there was an idol at the challenge, and she knew that having two idols would set her above the rest. Cirie, Brenda, and Kass met, forming a final three deal, and agreeing that Dylan, Alexis, and Joel were the most dangerous trio to keep in the game. Cirie didn’t know why they weren’t including Andrea in the talk, and Kass said that she didn’t trust Andrea very much, since she was still very close with Alexis and Dylan. Cirie didn’t like that, and complained to Andrea, saying that Kass and Brenda didn’t fully trust her. Andrea was pissed, knowing that she was open to working with Brenda and Kass. Andrea figured that maybe Kass was someone she didn’t want around. At the challenge, the contestants had to hold buckets of water of their head. Under Andrea’s platform was the idol, which she tried to grab after falling out of the challenge first. She reached under while everyone was still holding up, and grabbed the idol, her second in possession. Kass, Cirie, Nemo, Kirby, and Abe fell next. It was down to Joel, Brenda, Alexis, and Dylan. Joel and Alexis were out next, leaving it between Dylan and Brenda. Brenda fell, and Dylan won the challenge. Kass met up with Cirie and Brenda and suggested going for Alexis, to weaken both Dylan and Joel. Joel was worried they’d try to target him again, and he tried to pull Dylan and Alexis in again. Dylan said he’d be down for voting out Cirie, but Andrea approached them all and told them that Kass was trying to lead things on the other side and to vote for her. Andrea asked Cirie if she wanted to go along with the plan to vote Joel again, and Cirie said that Kass wanted to vote for Alexis. Andrea told Cirie that she shouldn’t just go along with what Kass wants. Cirie then told Kass that Andrea didn’t want to vote out Alexis, and Kass didn’t like that. Kass told Brenda, Kirby, Nemo, and Abe that Andrea was stirring up drama and that she should just go. Brenda didn’t know if Kass should go against Andrea when they weren’t sure that Andrea was against them, but Kass said that Andrea was too tight with Dylan and Alexis to trust. Cirie didn’t know which way to go, but assumed that Andrea would decide to vote for Alexis with the others. At tribal council, Andrea said that there were definitely lots of people competing for power, and it would be interesting to see which way the tides would turn. Nemo said that he was a bit in the dark, but happy that he was still around to fight on. Joel was definitely worried that he’d be targeted after having to use an idol last week, while Alexis said there was a ton of pressure being associated with Dylan, who won immunity, and Joel, who negated multiple votes the week prior. Before the votes were read, Andrea decided to stand up and play one of her two idols, shocking Kass and Brenda. Cirie didn’t know why Andrea would be playing her idol. “I just have a feeling that I may be on one end of the chopping block, and don’t wanna risk it.” Five votes went toward Andrea and were negated, shocking Cirie, who didn’t know people were voting for Andrea. The next vote was for Alexis, while the remaining four votes (from Dylan, Joel, Alexis, and Andrea herself) went to Kass, sending her home, and ending her powerful position. Brenda was shocked, while Andrea was happy her move worked. Cirie didn’t know what went down, but was happy that Andrea was still there and that she could finally move forward and figure out her next step.
