PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: With Marty gone, Joel didn’t know who to believe on his side, and realized that he was probably on an island by himself. He hoped that a merge was going to come and help him out. On the Glory Tribe, things were still tense between Vanessa and Andrea. Vanessa told Cirie that she didn’t trust Andrea at all, and wanted to throw the challenge and get her out, but Cirie said that getting Alexis or Dylan on board would be necessary, and they didn’t think either of them had the numbers. They needed to just hope to win the challenge. At the Immunity challenge, Glory put forward Cirie, Vanessa, and Andrea, while Victory sat out Brenda. Joel knew that he had to lead Kirby and Kass to immunity, but since they sat out last time, they had to play this time around. It was a simple rope maze, and Cydney knew she could lead Triumph to a win if Abe and Nemo pulled their weight. Unfortunately, Nemo was extremely struggling in the rope maze, while Joel communicated well to Kirby and Kass, giving them the win, saving Joel for one more week. Glory was next, despite Andrea and Vanessa disagreeing a few times. Unfortunately, Cydney couldn’t lead her tribe to the win, and Triumph was going to tribal yet again. Cydney knew that Abe would probably be a bigger threat in the merge, so she approached Nemo about going for Abe. She, however, wanted to keep the target completely off her back and told Abe to go for Nemo, since he was the least deserving based on being weak in challenges. Cydney knew it was going to be her decision, and hoped to vote off Abe. At tribal council, Abe said that he wasn’t sure if he would be voting the right way, but knew that he was going to be going with his gut. Nemo said similarly that he wasn’t sure, since there were three people, what he would do. Cydney said it was incredibly hard since both Nemo and Abe were her friends. Abe then pulled out his idol, saying that he would use it if he had to. Nemo, realizing Abe was going to play an idol, pulled out his idol. Cydney realized she may have been doomed. Nemo and Abe both realized that they each had idols, and then made the decision to vote together. Cydney said that she was proud of the leadership she possessed and the game she played, and that it was going to be hard to say goodbye, but applauded both Nemo and Abe for finding idols and doing a great job with their three-person squad. “Hold on to your idols and crush it in the merge,” she told them. When they voted, Cydney stuck for voting for Abe, but Nemo and Abe decided to vote out Cydney and hold onto their idols. Cydney walked out proud of her game, and hoping one of her boys would win it for her. The tribes then discovered that they were merging and playing altogether for the first time.
