PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: The Glory tribe returned from tribal quite divided. Vanessa used her idol to keep herself safe, and Cirie felt betrayed by Alexis and Andrea. Andrea told them that she just didn’t want to go to rocks, and in the future, she wanted to go after Dylan if possible. On the Victory side, Brenda was feeling on the outs, knowing that she was blindsided by Marty and had to see her friend, Nadiya, go home. Brenda thought she’d look for the idol, but Kirby revealed to her that he had an idol. Brenda saw this as an opportunity to try to pull over Kass. “Listen,” Brenda said, “I don’t know what the future holds, but Kirby and I have an idol on our side and I’d love to go to the merge with that idol.” Kass knew she had some power on her side, and knew that Marty and Brenda were going at each other, and she would be the one to settle the debate. On the Triumph side, Cydney, Abe, and Nemo knew they were the underdogs and hoped they could come back and win a challenge for once. The immunity challenge was involving transporting water through an obstacle course. The Victory tribe put forward Brenda, Marty, and Joel, while Glory put up Andrea, Alexis, and Dylan. Glory flew through the course, winning immunity, while Marty and Brenda had some disagreements, leaving Joel on the outs and losing hope. Abe and Cydney had a system down that set them ahead, eventually clinching the win for Triumph. Team Victory was mad, especially Marty, who thought Brenda threw the challenge. Marty was suspicious that Brenda threw the challenge and might have an idol, so he tried to get Kass and Joel on board for going after Kirby. Joel said that they should just take their chances and go with Brenda, because Brenda would’ve used it earlier if she truly had an idol. Marty didn’t know, and wasn’t sure if he wanted to take the chance. He then approached Brenda, asking if she had an idol. Brenda said that she felt like he was being too abrasive and wanted to just enjoy her last day peacefully. This made Marty fell better going into the vote. At the vote, Marty felt confident that Brenda didn’t have the idol, and he and Joel voted for her. Brenda and Kirby voted for Marty. It was Kass’ vote breaking the tie, and Kass decided to be bold and vote off Marty, shocking him, and sending him home for good.
