PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: Taj was upset that Cydney had flipped on her, and she felt alone, hoping to win whatever immunity was in her way. All three tribes learned that they would be competing for immunity, but it would individual, and all three would be going to tribal. Taj thought this was the chance to win immunity and save herself. Triumph had a puzzle, Victory had an endurance comp, and Glory had an obstacle maze. Whoever won would be safe on their tribe. First up, for Triumph, the four remaining members took their places and started their puzzles. Nemo was a fish out of water (literally) and couldn’t keep up, while Cydney had dropped a piece on the ground. Taj was almost finished until Abe slipped a piece in and won the challenge. Taj was devastated but hoped she could sway Nemo and Abe against Cydney come tribal. Victory took their places for an endurance comp involving balancing balls on a disk. Brenda, Kirby, Marty, and Kass were out almost immediately, leaving it down to Nadiya and Joel. Joel was able to outlast Nadiya to win immunity. On the Glory tribe, the whole tribe went through the obstacle. Cirie and Glenn struggled, while Dylan, Andrea, and Alexis flew through it. Vanessa strategically fell back, knowing her target was already losing. Dylan clinched immunity. Back at the Triumph tribe, Taj tried talking to Nemo and Abe about getting out Cydney. “She won in a unanimous vote. She is a beast,” Taj told them. Abe and Nemo discussed it, not sure what they would do. At tribal council, Taj explained that she was on the outs, but hoped that she could reshape some bonds and prove that she should be around longer. Unfortunately, her vote for Cydney was the only one, and she received the other three, sending Taj home for good. On the Victory tribe, Joel was happy to have won and tried talking to Marty about a possible game plan. Marty said he would love to go after Brenda or Nadiya on this next vote, and said that Nadiya proved she’s a much bigger challenge threat. Joel didn’t know if it was wise to go after a challenge beast, but Marty said they’d be merging any day, and Brenda was someone that may get more emotionally vulnerable after a blindside compared to Nadiya, who would remain tough through the merge. Brenda assumed that she, Nadiya, Marty, and Kirby were on the same page about getting out Kass. Marty knew he needed one more vote and told Kirby that a big move was going down and that he wanted to vote out Nadiya. Kirby knew this was a big move, and Marty was nervous it wouldn’t play out the way he wanted. At tribal, Kass received two votes, but it was Nadiya who received the other four, after Kass, Joel, Marty, and Kirby flipped. Nadiya was shocked, and Brenda was devastated, knowing she should’ve just tried to get out Marty. On the Glory tribe, the girls all joined together in hopes of getting the guys out. Since Dylan had immunity, they wanted to go after Glenn. Vanessa was happy that she finally had an alliance that was in full function. Alexis, however, saw Vanessa as the biggest threat, and didn’t trust her. Alexis went to Dylan and Glenn and told them that Vanessa was going for Glenn. Glenn knew he needed a miracle, but Alexis said she would try to sway Andrea. Andrea didn’t want to flip, and didn’t know why Alexis was flipping. “We have strong numbers,” Andrea told Alexis, but Alexis really didn’t trust Vanessa. Andrea was upset, but figured she’d do what the majority wanted, and didn’t want to force a tie. At tribal council, Vanessa said how her first few days sucked, but she finally felt herself making bonds an befriending others. Cirie said she really appreciated the bond they all had and it would be hard to lose anyone. Glenn said that he felt like he was in a really good place within his tribe, and he hoped that most of them were on the same page. This caused Vanessa to be concerned, because Glenn seemed so confident and comfortable. “Why do you seem so comfortable Glenn?” Vanessa asked. Glenn said, “I just really vibe with this group. I could be going home, I don’t know.” Vanessa thought this was shady and asked her girls, “is the plan still standing?” Cirie said yes, but Andrea and Alexis seemed a little more quiet. After the vote, Vanessa stood up. “I can’t take a risk when we’re so close to the merge.” She played her idol, and Glenn looked devastated. The first four votes all came for Vanessa. “Wow,” she said, “I can’t believe you ladies.” Cirie and Vanessa still stuck to the original plan and voted for Glenn, ending his Survivor journey. Glenn was proud that he made good bonds with people and just wished he could’ve kept fighting.
