PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: After a split tribal council, Jay, Dom, Natalie, and Angelina met. Jay was confused why they sent home one of their strongest. Angelina said that they could trust Abi more going forward. Domenick didn’t trust Abi in the slightest, and said that they should take her out if they were to lose again. Angelina told Natalie that going to the merge with Jay and Dom would make them big targets, but Abi and Kass were much better shields. Natalie agreed, but hoped that they might be able to win a challenge or two first. At the Heroes camp, Malcolm decided to pull Kelley aside and tell her that he didn’t care how the vote went down a few weeks back, that they needed to all stick together and try to win. Kelley agreed, saying that having numbers in the merge was most important. At the challenge, the teams had to shoot balls into three hoops while trying to tackle each other in the water. Keith sat out, and cheered his team on! It was a blowout from start to finish, with Malcolm, Sabrina, and Kelley leading the charge, and Michael scoring the most points of the day. Even Jay seemed defeated, and was ready to finally get rid of Abi. Back at camp, the four aligned met about taking out Abi, but Natalie and Angelina had other tricks up their sleeve. They thought it might have been a better move to just take Jay out, since he was getting more and more defeated, and would pose a huge target in the merge. Domenick thought they might flip and decided to tell Angelina and Natalie that they needed Jay to win challenges. “At this point,” Angelina said, “the merge is so soon that it’s more important to keep the people we want in the merge over the challenge beasts.” Domenick was mad, and told Jay. Jay didn’t know what to do, and decided to go searching for an idol. Abi was nervous that he would find it, but Kass knew she was fine since Kass had the idol. Kass didn’t want to tell Abi, though, and told Abi to keep hunting. Kass hoped this would also keep Abi’s threat level superior to her own. Jay decided to make a fake idol to try and fool Angelina or Natalie in a last minute resort. At tribal council, Jay pulled out his fake idol and said that he had a long day of searching. Kass really wanted to keep her idol a secret, but didn’t want them to flip the vote on Abi, so she decided to tell everyone that she had the idol that she had found in the first week. Angelina said Kass’ must be real, since Jay was more desperate to stay, but wanted to see Kass’ idol just in case. Kass showed everyone the idol, and Jay had known then that he had lost. Abi was upset that Kass had hidden the idol from her. The tribe voted. Jay kept his vote for Abi, while Dom decided it would be best to stay united with the tribe, and just vote out Jay. Jay was upset, but knew he had to go out fighting. Domenick gave him a hug goodbye, and Jay told him to win it in the end. Kass knew her idol was blown, but hoped that it solidified some trust between Angelina, Natalie, Abi, and herself in the long run.
