PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: With Diana gone, Natasha and Wanda knew they needed some damage control with Peter and T’Challa. T’Challa found it hard to forgive them, since this was the second time they betrayed them. The Joker was now without an idol for the first time all season, and decided to check and see if they hid yet another idol on the island. He looked endlessly, until it was time for the challenge. During the challenge, the five contestants had to remember a certain pattern and then swim out to repeat it. The men were all pretty bad at it, as Wanda and Natasha clearly led the pack. Knowing that nobody was safe, they both gunned hard for it, but it was Wanda who won the challenge, safe and in the finale! Back at camp, Natasha needed to make sure it wasn’t her going home. Rather than trying to strike up a deal with Joker, she approached T’Challa and Peter and made an agreement to vote out Joker. Peter and T’Challa were on board, wanting to go Marvel strong in the end. Joker, knowing he couldn’t find an idol, decided to make a fake one to try to sway the women’s votes. Joker approached Wanda and showed her his fake idol. Wanda was stressed now, knowing Joker was going to be immune, and told Natasha. Natasha was upset, knowing they would have to target the boys yet again, and decided to have another go at Peter. Joker’s plan had worked! At tribal council, the girls looked distraught, and Peter was picking up on it. T’Challa said that the vote should finally take out the end of DC, and make it a Marvel final four. Joker laughed, leaving a bit of uncertainty to Peter and T’Challa. When it was time for the voting, Wanda and Natasha went up to the voting booth and sadly voted for Peter, as did Joker. Before the votes were read, Natasha and Wanda watched to see the Joker play his idol, but instead, the Joker laughed saying that he fooled them yet again, and threw his fake idol into the air with joy. Natasha and Wanda felt sick, knowing that they had betrayed the boys a third time—until…Peter stood up with an idol. “I knew there was one back at camp since Joker and I both played an idol last tribal, so I found this right before coming to tribal. Just in case,” Peter said as he played the final idol of the season. When the first three votes revealed were for Peter, Peter and T’Challa high fived, knowing they needed the idol. The next two votes came in for Joker, and the Joker was sent packing, his plan foiled. “I’ll give it to them, that was a good play, and they got out the best,” he said, as his torch was snuffed. Natasha and Wanda hugged the boys, apologizing for falling for the Joker’s fake idol. T’Challa was just relieved to see the Joker gone, but Peter was upset, knowing this was the second time he needed an idol to save himself. Now, the idols were finished and the finale was here.
