PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: Matthew knew he had a big target on his back after playing the idol. But he was glad that he had the confidence to play it. However, he was on an island by himself again, so he decided to go looking for another idol. Mindy saw him begin to look and immediately sprinted after him, followed by Melanie and Jared. Soon, the whole tribe was out searching. Jared saw it first, but Melanie was standing right next to him. He decided to stand by the tree so nobody would look there, and when Melanie turned her back, he picked up the idol quick and stuffed it in his pants. At the immunity challenge, the entire favorites tribe was relieved that none of their loved ones were sent home, as it was Keith who went. The game was on, and again, it came down to a puzzle which Cirie dominated. The Favorites were winners again, continuing their streak. The Family tribe was pissed, as they had to go to tribal again. Everyone was worried Matthew had found another idol. Jared wanted to tell everyone that it was okay since he had it, but decided to keep it a secret. The girls discussed splitting the votes, and for two of them to put their votes on Jared or Reed in case Matthew played the idol, but they didn’t know how to explain to Jared and Reed that they were on the bottom. At tribal council, Matthew said how he was defeated that he didn’t have an idol, and nobody knew whether he was lying or not. When the votes came around, Matthew voted for Mindy, while the two boys voted for Matthew. Sydney and Melanie threw their votes on Jared just in case. However, Mindy stuck to the original plan and voted out Matthew. Matthew was upset that he couldn’t do more but happy with how far he made it. Jared, however, was concerned that the women split the votes and threw votes on him.
