PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: After Sunny’s elimination, Mindy, Melanie, and Sydney felt on the outs with their tribe, but were hoping to rekindle their relationship with past allies Jared and Reed. Reed and Jared knew they were in a swing position, and could go with either the guys (Keith, Matthew) or the girls (Mindy, Melanie, Sydney). As for Thunder D and Terri, they were on the outs and just enjoying camp life. At the challenge, Lauren was upset to see her sister gone. “This was her dream and you sent her home too early. They better know a storm is coming.” In the challenge, everyone had to race through a maze in the water. Cirie and Dan struggled in the water, and the Family Tribe was able to secure a victory. Back at camp, Cirie was worried that her challenge performance was too bad to keep around, so she tried to team up with people she knew she could control. Starting with Dan, “we were slowing our team down. As long as both of us are here, neither of us is a bigger target than the other.” She then approached Lauren saying that she wanted to keep her around because Sunny deserved better. She talked to Colby, knowing they were on the Heroes tribe in Heroes vs. Villains, trying to regain that bond. Lastly, she approached Chelsea because Chelsea was typically quiet and she thought she could get a grasp on her. Together, she was hoping that she, Dan, Lauren, Colby, and Chelsea could run things, and she wanted to start by getting rid of Jonny FairPlay. FairPlay had tricks up his sleeve, however. He went to Chrissy, saying that no-one would expect them working together. Chrissy was already bonding with both Cindy and Jay. Chrissy thought it would be interesting to use FairPlay as her secret weapon, knowing he’d always be a shield to hide behind. She talked to Cindy and Jay and told them that they needed to keep FairPlay around because he’d be such a big threat and they could always hide behind him. They knew they needed two more people to swing over, and decided to approach Colby. Colby didn’t know what to do, considering he had just given Cirie his word. Chrissy was immediately throwing Cirie’s name out, but Colby changed it to Dan to make sure Cirie stuck around in case he needed her in the future. At tribal council, Tarzan started by saying that he really had no clue what his first move was going to be since nobody talked to him throughout the day. Lauren said that she was worried that she would immediately be targeted because she spoke out about the loved ones, but Cirie defended her saying “if it was anyone’s loved one, we’d be upset. I understand.” FairPlay chimed in saying that Thunder D going home would be a joy, cause he wouldn’t want to go head to head with him, again trying to stir up chaos. Chrissy was hoping that she had the numbers, and when the voting was revealed, Tarzan’s vote went to Chelsea, Cirie, Dan, Lauren, and Chelsea’s votes went to FairPlay, and FairPlay, Chrissy, Jay, Cindy, and Colby’s votes went to Dan. Dan was upset, but understood that his age would hold him back. Cirie didn’t know who flipped, and was hoping to recruit Tarzan to her side to take out FairPlay once and for all.
