In both his seasons, Max has shown impressive skills in knowing how to play the game. But he has also show how you can overplay.
A very vocal castaway, Max made his presence known in Bhutan, and was a key cog in the Monica’s alliance. The alliance fell after a member of the original Punakha alliance, Scott, flipped to the Thimphu tribe, landing Max in 8th place. He made his anger and resentment at the situation known, and was disgusted by the Final 2. Thus he became associated with these strong opinions.
Carrying over into Unfinished Business however, he evolved slightly. He first seemed to be a more rounded player, capable to execute good Survivor strategy and keep a cool head. However as a member of the iconically dysfunctional Vixens alliance, it wasn’t long before things kicked, off and Max lost temper with the alliance. Whilst still playing well, he had lost some trust, and eventually the overplaying got him blindsided in 7th place.
Max is an ENTITLED castaway due to his potential to play a good strategic game which he can often overthink and lose control of. He deserves another opportunity to get it right.
