If you want to watch LOST -- skip it. Go straight to Damon Lindelof's HBO series The Leftovers. It's probably the best television series I've ever seen, next to Mr. Robot. And that's the BEST piece of advice I've ever given somebody.
First three seasons are SPECTACULAR. But because of the writer's strike, the second half of the show was subpar at best.
The best way to sum up the show is that they came up with absolutely BRILLIANT questions, ones that really made you think like... holy shit, I wonder what this means... time to watch more!
But the problem was that, these brilliant questions did not have brilliant answers after season 3, and some of them didn't even get answers!
I'd still give the show a solid 7 overall though because the first three seasons are great tv. I still enjoyed seasons 4 and 5 more than most, but even I couldn't like season 6.
krisstory but answers are never as good as the questions. Besides, they answered the important stuff. What was actually unanswered that you just HAD to know? Anyway, the show wasn't about the answers...it was about the journey and the people.
