So as everyone may have noticed enrollment is only open for 1 game at a time now. The plus side is that games are free and the color level barrier is gone for frookies and crooks.

Another fun fact, did you know that frookies is just a better version of fastings?
Yeah.
Here's the thing, this was done to encourage faster enrollment. The logic in theory is sound. If there are x people wanting to play a game and you funnel all of them into one game at a time, it will fill faster.
However what's actually gonna happen is a game of chicken where people will wait to join the game they like (or has better payouts) and not join anything else.
Does anyone remember that one time a rookies took 3 days to fill?
Yeah.
Now for the next part let's ignore all that and focus on the two basic games that all new players join, Fastings and Castings.
Fastings (tho in my opinion should have better payouts and earlier payouts) is a perfectly sound game if everyone is active. It works. It doesn't take forever. You can see that in this game here https://tengaged.com/game/211215
Castings on the other hand does not work with an extremely active cast. Castings literally has a mechanism for removing inactive players in the game (we know it as "dying"). Death in castings was put into the game presumably BECAUSE of the assumption that a good chunk of the cast will not be active.
Fun fact about castings, payouts don't begin until there are 11 people left.
Another fun fact about castings did you know that if there are no deaths it takes 4 and a half days to get to 11 people left?
Yeah.
Now another important function of castings is the keys system. This is intended to reward active players. This actually rewards lucky players though the longer you stay on the page the greater odds you have a key spawning.
But it's still luck.
I could obsessively stalk the page for 2 hours and then turn off tengaged because I have to use the bathroom or something and some random person who just logged on can take a key that happened to spawn when I was offline.
Now with longer castings games more keys will naturally spawn. Keys reduce your odds of being nominated by an INSANE amount. Basically unless there are extreme circumstances someone without a key will always be nominated before someone with a key.
