is genuinely just practice and time. anyone can do it. i used to draw shit like this (worth noting that at this point i had already been drawing designs for a couple yrs, i just couldnt find older designs)
which was literally just shapes with a little bit of black on the edges and now i dont. dont be afraid to start with tracing and use references like crazy. you start to develop an idea of what things should look like and it just gets better and better the more you do it.
if anyone wants advice or tips and tricks please dont be afraid to ask me i WANT more people to be designers!!!
I used to have a shop on .es back when they were cheap I made a cute pair of antler glasses and a male hair.. its great feeling to see people wearing ur designs
I feel like for me the shading is the part that makes it impossible for me, I don't understand how to shade. I could lay out a nice dress shape, but then making it come to life with shading is just a no... How do you do your shading slice
kentuckyy find a picture of someone wearing a real dress thats a similar shape and just try to copy the shading. i personally will choose a darker and also more saturated version of the same colour, then set my brush to around 10% opacity, and just colour the same area over and over until i think the shading is just right
PureEssence false actually my current job is sitting at the doors of my local sportsplex and checking peoples vaccine records and ids so actually i get paid to gatekeep…
