While yes, BBCAN has produced better seasons (Besides season 3) than almost all US seasons that played during its time (Besides season 17) BBUS will always be better. Here’s why.
I’m gonna start w/ a basic reason that is also actually a very unpopular opinion. The house >>>> BBCAN’s. Honestly I would like for a house change at this point but I’ve always liked the layout of the BBUS house. Not to mention BBCAN house looks like a fucking Ollie’s or an Ikea. BBUS actually looks LIKE A HOUSE. None of that is important though, I just wanted to add in another unpopular opinion.
The true reason BBUS is superior is a few other reasons actually. BBCAN is fucking goofy. i.e. not as serious as BBUS. Truly, it ain’t. They fuck around & 50% of each episode is actually filler. Tf! BBUS is actually about GAMEPLAYY. & the parts of BBCAN that aren’t filler are dumb little exchanges put into an edit & it’s such basic/minor strategy talks. BBUS will dive more in. All in all, each season of BBCAN has SHIT editing. Like the worst I’ve seen. BBUS really blows them out of the water w/ editing. BBCAN gives fake edits literally all the time for their favs & fan faves. We see that this season w/ Hamza/Paras getting extremely fake edits while the real plans were etched from Will & Johnny (& Maddy for Paras’ fake edit last week) last season they did this w/ Cass & Kevin. Cass’s edit was just atrocious, her & Kev were fake masterminds last season. BBUS usually gives accurate edits & doesn’t make other people’s plans seem like it came from one of their faves or fan faves. I said last season that it was the worst editing I’ve ever seen on Big Brother & I was serious, this season is bout the same. BBCAN is lame in comparison.
& yes I know after BB19 this information is gonna be tough to swallow. I’ve never been more disappointed in BBUS production (Besides season 13 but I was Team Vets so 🤷🏽♂️) The one thing I can say BBCAN is better for is their production. They may play favorites w/ editing but they don’t really favor people AS MUCH or AS BLATANTLY as BBUS has these past few seasons w/ these goddamn returnees. But imma still point my finger at them doin that because they deff rigged the hell out of season 1 & 3
yeah when it comes to the episodes, BBUS is much better. the BBCan episodes are straight up garbage and hard to watch. gameplay-wise though, BBCan is currently miles ahead of the most recent BBUS seasons (especially 16 and 19).
Patrick319 I wouldn’t say they’re miles ahead or even that far ahead in terms of gameplay. It’s still Robin casting her archetypes, it’s still the same people & same gameplay as US basically. Last season all the focus & gameplay came from the vets. They’re pretty equal with gameplay in my eyes, I can’t differentiate them tbh
snowflake3 Both are kid friendly these days. It’s “a family show” now. BBCAN literally edits the entire show to appeal to toddlers bro, they tell them to chill out on swearing on the live feed... I think they’re way more kid friendly & “goofy”
levonini Ok well that makes more sense & i’ll retract... archetypes is what has to do w/ how the gameplay will turn out, but there’s definitely not a real difference between BBCAN & BBUS hamsters. 50% is still young attractive people looking to showmance or brand themselves... then we got the nerds & superfans & one older person. Wtf is different?
