The Amazing Race 13 Cast Assessment Episode 1

Dec 28, 2013 by SkillzDatKillz
I've decided to do a rewatch of The Amazing Race since that is pretty much the only show I haven't rewatched yet. I've already finished season 5 and currently doing season 10 as well with porschefan101 but for this one I'm gonna go episode by episode and see how much I grow to like a team or vice versa since I barely remember this season at all (along with a bunch of others). Note that it will be by episode and not a carry over from any previous episodes. Final cast assessment will be displayed after I finish the rewatch.

11th-Andrew/Dan

They give off the impression that they are going to be the villains of the season. Their whole stunt at the airport saying how they hope the earlier flight gets delayed in front of all their faces is just poor sportsmanship. Yes, I know you would like it to happen, but he did it in a dick fashion and that already rubs me the wrong way.

10th-Terence/Sarah

Terence right out the gate looks like a douche with his weird hairstyle. He has a passive aggressive attitude towards Sarah which is definitely annoying as well. When all the teams were together talking, he gets pissed when Sarah talks to the other teams instead of him. Like WTF she is going to be running the ENTIRE race with you and she can't go out and make friends or talk to others that may actually benefit you later in the race? Then later yells at Sarah because she is running ahead of him. Ego much? Then there is Sarah who says she "tried" to make small talk with Nick & Starr as they are trying to find a taxi and since they didn't engage back she throws a fit. Ummmm, do you not know you are in a race right now? God this team is going to cause a lot of problems down the road.

9th-Kelly/Christy

Nothing much from them at all besides the fact that they kept emphasizing the point that they were divorced and how much of a struggle that is. I can see them being like the roller-derby moms and every single confessional bring up one point and make it repetitive as fuck to the point where I can't stand listening to them speak.

8th-Anthony/Stephanie

Nothing at all from them this episode besides how it is beginning to look like Stephanie might wear the pants in the relationship lol. Not much character development at all and I think they only got like 2 confessionals this entire episode (1 of them being their introduction).

7th-Marisa/Brooke

Very boring this episode and got like no confessionals. Only funny moment was when Brooke(?) was freaking out about climbing down the cargo net and couldn't enjoy the view because she was about to pee her pants lol. Nothing besides that.

6th-Nick/Starr

Nothing much from them at all besides how they wanted to team up with Ken/Tina and work with them along the race. Also I guess they have a rivalry with Terence/Sarah that they don't know about yet? Lol that will be interesting to keep watch of. Nick seems to have the cool head though which I am surprised since I thought it was always Sarah, but this is only the first leg so times can change.

5th-Aja/Ty

My black couple < 3 Not too much from them, but I love the fact that they are dating long distance and are on the race to see if it can help strengthen their relationship. Ty seems cool by helping Aja when she needs it and also showing positive encouragement towards Aja on the climb down the cargo net. They seem to be a decent team right now and hopefully they can continue to build their relationship up.

4th-Mark/Bill

I thought they were a gimmick being comic geeks and what-not, but I actually like them so far! They are showing amazing development by facing their fears of heights and then they are also thinking outside the box with how they kept the items from falling during the trolley train challenge. They are fun to watch so far and I hope they continue this streak!

3rd-Anita/Arthur

They are my favorite first boots! They are so sweet and adorable!! Arthur would always stick behind for Anita and Anita has a great attitude towards everything. She wants to experience as much as possible during the race so she decides to go down 240 ft of rope instead of going up stairs. They were heartwarming to watch and I'm sad to see them go! Also, being beekeepers makes them even more badasses!

2nd-Ken/Tina

They seem to be the original Tim/Marie and I already love them! Tina has a strong personality and demands respect especially from Ken after he cheated on her. Anything that goes wrong is never Tina's fault, but is always Ken's fault in Tina's eyes lol. The whole trolley train challenge was fun to watch Tina bicker at Ken and make snide comments at any possible moment. I like the alliance of Ken/Tina/Nick/Starr and I think they all can do well together. They are not overbearing and dreadfully annoying like some of the other teams, but instead their bickering is fun to watch since it resides between themselves.

1st-Toni/Dallas

I love the relationship they have! Toni being a single mother towards Dallas shows how hard she has worked and how hard she will continue to work because that is not an easy task to do. Along with that, Dallas has amazing respect/love for his mother that it is heartwarming to watch! Toni saying how Dallas has always been a competitor and how she never got to be on his team and now is able < 3 I'm really looking forward to watching them down the road and hopefully they continue this and don't change or else I will be disappointed.
