Me and my friends are divided on this. During a job interview, when they ask if you have any other questions, is it a BAD idea to ask what the pay is? I assumed its kind of rude, like, "oh you dont want the job responsibilities but just the money"

but my roommates think its rude to NOT ask because it makes it seem like you aren't a serious canidate if you don't ask what the pay starts at. (btw i lovelovelovelove dorm life and having roommates when i thought i wouldnt before cus im very private)

anyway settle the argument

Yeah def don’t ask about pay until offered the job.  Then you negotiate.

Asking about pay up front is one of the biggest mistakes candidates make.  Plus you can easily Glassdoor.com it and get a good estimate based on your education, job experience, location, etc.

Depends on what kind of job. If it's like retail or fast food then no you don't ask. If it's a professional job, you can ask or wait until they offer you the job and then ask.
