Welcome to the Song Simulation, a brand new BLOG game music competition!
Immediately, I see you comparing this to Music Taste's and Group Games but think again, this is a brand new genre into the music world of tengaged!
I will try to explain exactly how this game will work! It's extremely easy to participate (Explanation on how in a moment) and I'm really hoping this will end up as a competitive season!
These are the simple steps you need to follow, and you'll be competing!
1: You can send up to 3 songs. If you send 1, 2 or 3 songs will be up to you, but more songs do increase your odds
2: Please make sure the artist you post hasn't been posted yet, each artist can only be entered once
3: It's up to you if it's a live or non-live performance. Live performances will also be judged vocals, but they will also receive some extra brownie points with the "Jury"
1: Once you've sent your song, you don't have to do ANYTHING! Just sit back, and let the song simulator take its course!
2: If there are more than 26 entries, semi-finals will be drawn
3: The first real step to the simulator is the running order. Your song will either draw the first or second half. This is pretty self-explanatory- 1st half = first half of the show, vise versa. I will then listen to each of the songs, and decide the running order based on factors such as Tempo and Genre
4: Once the running order is decided, the odds will be calculated: Juries and Televote. Each one has its own tickbox. The more ticks you get, the better the odds in each category. They both have different tick boxes, so it's next to impossible to get 1st in both categories. These tick boxes will be kept secret though, so as to make a more exciting contest and not the same type of songs over and over
5: The songs will then be giving their betting odds. These certainly aren't giving the song its fate, these are just things to look out for. In my test simulation, the song 15th in the odds ended up in 2nd, so anything could happen, these are just to give a slight indicator to where the song might land
6: Then, the simulator happens. The more checkboxes something ticked, the better its odds of doing well in the simulator! Anything could still happen though, and the results aren't set until the final total has been revealed...
Among all, the aim of this game is competitive fun! At the end of the day, the simulator could churn out any result, but no matter if you win or get last, it will be fun to witness!
As mentioned above, all you need to do is post your songs below! If I don't get enough people, I will increase the number you can send!
One final note is that each artist will be assigned a country to "Represent". This will be their home country or a country they have affiliation with, such as parents from there, or living there for many years. In the event both their home and their affiliated countries are taken, they will represent a neighbouring country (For example: If the USA was taken, the artist would be assigned Canada, assuming no other artists are representing Canada). If all neighbouring countries are taken, they will represent the country that has the closest relationship to their home country
