Aspen was the victim of the 4th and final district betrayal of the 99th Hunger Games. He spent most of the games with his district partner, and later victor, Arizona, however, she threw a knife into his skull during the showdown. This was a shock to many, as Aspen was the favourite to win by the finale. Unlike many other tributes of this games, Aspen had the whole of Panem divided. Many despised his way of speaking, and his accent, meanwhile others loved it. One citizen, Greta Tunsurg, wrote in saying: "Aspen is a good tribute on paper, but is one of the most annoying people ever". When Aspen's name was revealed to be on the list of returning tributes, Panem was divided once again, and it is currently still split in the middle. When he first woke up, he specifically asked who had killed him, and when he saw it was Arizona, he stated: "Hot buttered popcorn tha's a bish"
Sebastian was the victor of the 98th Hunger Games. He was instantly a controversial winner, as he managed to win killing just one person, and he had a major advantage over them in the final fight. The 98th Games are seen as the worst games in the last 25 years, with Sebastian being on the bottom of the victor's pile. It's believed that Sebastian decided to come back, possibly because he can't stand the hate anymore, and possibly because he felt he didn't deserve the victory. Either way, Sebastian was widely skimmed over in many predictions, and currently sits at the bottom of the betting odds, only above Joshina
Many gasped to see Brandi's return. Brandi narrowly managed to win her games after defeating Alba, brother of Alvaro (Victor of the 93rd Hunger Games). This name the pair bitter towards each other. Two years later, Brandi's sister, Victorette, died in the games. Despite both losing their younger sisters, the pair still haven't gotten along, with the two of them often threatening to hurt each other, badly. In the summer of the 98th Games, Brandi was officially diagnosed with a Phsycopathic disorder, which is believed to have been triggered after her sister's death. Brandi immediately shot up the odds, right next to Loreal, and many tributes were instantly excited to see her return
The 5th and final victor in this all-star season is Vanessa. Vanessa laid low with her alliance for the first half of the games, but as her alliance slowly died, Vanessa seemed to become more determined. In the final fight against Lyme, Vanessa was predicted to lose, but she shockingly won after drowning Lyme in the "Infected Pool". The infection from the pool badly compromised Vanessa's immune system, and she has been forced to live in the hospital ever since. In an interview, Vanessa clearly stated that she sometimes wished she'd died in the games, as she believed she was wasting her life. Many weren't shocked to see Vanessa on the list, with Vanessa even stating that it was time she properly lived life to the fullest
Ethan was a career in the 93rd Hunger Games. He stuck with his ally, Summer, for most of the games, however, Summer later left him locked in a bunker. Ethan did manage to escape and make it to the final fight, but Ethan was killed by Alvaro shortly before the final fight. Many were happy to see Ethan return, as he is the only male career to make a return. Many also wanted to see his rematch with Summer. When he initially woke up, Ethan believed he was still locked in the bunker, famously hallucinating about it for three days, until he finally came sane again, and was shocked to find he'd been dead for 7 years! He did famously cheer when Summer was killed, saying he'd rather have been killed by the victor that that "Bithc", as he pronounced it
Tommy laid low most of his games with his district partner, Tam. The pair were later killed after the building they were in collapsed. Despite being the longest-lasting District 9 tributes, many seem to have forgotten about them in the two short years since the 98th Games, and some were puzzled to see him on the list. In a later statement, it was revealed Tommy was cast to build a more diverse cast, and controversially, the game-makers later said "It's also so our icons don't die too quickly" which caused outrage in District 9. When Tommy woke up, he believed he'd survived the building collapse, and refused to watch the end of his games, saying that he didn't wish to re-visit that arena. He was then informed he would be returning to the games, and screams were later heard from his floor of the tribute accomodation
Christine was a career in the 94th Hunger Games. She was later killed after an ambush from the outlying districts. This was a big upset in the capital, with many people having bet lots of money on her victory. The more casual viewers vaguely seemed to remember who Christine was, and as many re-watched her games, she began to build up more of a fan-base again. When she initially woke up, Christine believed she had been reincarnated, which confused many people, until she stated that it was a famous belief in District 2 that when brave tributes die, they will be born again to fight again. This was actually seen as quite a fitting answer, as to some degree, this was the case!
The final tribute on the list had many people confused. Chris was remembered by very few people, as he was a very under-the-radar player in his season. Many re-watchers however later concluded that Chris could have been a dark-horse had a tsunami wave not killed him. People also realised that he was amongst the hottest tributes in the 93rd Games, as District 9 tributes for some reason often are, and he managed to build up a fanbase of young women, which surprised many people, but seeing as there were only 9 males to 17 females, it's unsurprising that Chris did manage to build up a fan-base. When he woke up, he initially believed he was in a coma and seemed amazed by everything around him. Strangely, Chris came out as the most un-similar tribute, with a complete personalized to what he had in the 93rd Games, where he appears to be a lot bolder to stand up for himself and has clearly been noted as a flirt
