First, off...everyone submitted! This means that we're going to have our first proper "Worst" song elimination. Good luck everyone!
RedsKanto is immune from winning last week. Their results will still be revealed with everyone else's
This time, I will be revealing the top 3, then the middle 4, then the bottom 4! Just so everyone knows, this was by far the toughest week so far...so many bops! Even the song that ultimately gets eliminated wasn't that bad. I have also provided reasoning for the Bottom 4 being the bottom 4
Titanic- I'm really not a fan of Titanic, or really the songs in it, yet the one you submitted was probably my favourite of the bunch, and ultimately wasn't that bad
Vengaboys- For me, this song would have been middle of the pack on any other week, but because this week was just so strong, it was pished down
Aqua- While I do find this song really annoying if it's played too much, it's been a while since I last heard it, and it was honestly quite a fun listen this time, but it's this low because of horrible memories
MatchBox Twenty- The reason this was eliminated is that there was a thick line between everything else and this. It's not really my style, and really wasn't for me
I'm so sorry Cheritaisdelicious. You had a wild ride, starting off in 10th, then getting back up to 4th, and now finishing in 11th. You definitely have one of the most colourful charts if that's any consolation. I was really excited to see what you would bring this season, and I'm so sad your journey has ended so soon :(
Now for the rest of you, it's time to reveal the Week 4 theme! There are 3 levels of themes: Easy, Medium and Hard. You've had two easies and a hard. It's time for a medium! This week's theme is Europe!
Europe is one of my home continents and has produced some of my favourite music of all time!
However, the only twist is that you CAN'T send a song that counts for the UK or Ireland. Lots of you have played it safe so far, and I want to see European diversity, not a list of 10 British or Irish songs. The official rules for this week are as follows:
1: The artist must have either been born, or lives/have lived in a European country (Outside of the UK and Ireland)
2: No covers
3: For this week, I will allow a maximum of four Eurovision songs
4: For bands/collaborations, only 1 person needs to fit the above criteria
5: Good luck!
Some might find this theme difficult, others might find it easy. I'm excited to see the diversity :)
j4ckwilko Ella Eyre is fucking british - her mother is Maltese. She has never lived there and was not born there.
Second rule - it’s a fucking cover of Jermaine Stewart’s we don’t have to take our clothes off from 1986. Consider urself fucking enlightened
