You have been invited to a 1930's murder mystery weekend at the estate of the Great Nina Johnson, esteemed mystery writer publishing her final novel, and invited her nearest and dearest friends to celebrate it with her. But all is not as it seems as the mystery becomes too real, and every decision made sends you on a twisting path of fate. Who will live and who will die?
In a rundown, this is a blog story that is on the player. Unlike Hunger Games story where everything is random, you are in control of your own fate here. It's called Butterfly Effect because...that's what it is. Every character will get a storyline when they apply, with choices leading them down many paths until they ultimately die or survive. Every character's story in unique
Here is what I call the example tree. This is a shortened version, and the real one will be a bit more complex:
1 is your character
Episode 1: Go to the dining room of the bedroom
A: Go to the dining room- Meet 2
B: Go to the bedroom- Meet 3
(A route) Episode 2: Investigate the attic or the basement
AA: Investigate the attic- Discover the spider
AB: Investigate the basement- Discover the clown
(B route) Episode 2: Investigate the Foyer or the Drawing room
BA: Investigate the Foyer- Find trapdoor
BB: Investigate the Drawing room- Find secret passage
(AA route) Episode 3: Run or hug the spider
Run- Survive
Hug- Die
(AB route) Episode 3: Run or shoot the clown
Run- Die
Shoot- Survive
(BA route) Episode 3: Go down trapdoor?
Yes- Die
No- Survive
(BB route) Episode 3: Go in the secret passage?
Yes- Survive
No- Die
That has nothing to do with how arcs will go, and death will be implemented earlier into the story, but there will be an equal amount of deaths and survivals for everyone, so everyone has a 50% chance of survival
This will be more of a miniseries, and will only feature 4-5 episodes as more of a test run, and this kind of thing can become more complex and evolve in future seasons if this works

For this first season, everyone will be a guest to the party, but in the future, more roles may be added as they will take place at different locations (Resort Example: Tourist, Butler, Tour Guide, etc)
I'll create the backstories, which will be posted as part of a little "Meet the guests" post before the season begins. I don't want to be overwhelmed with characters right away, as this is a trial really, so I'll be accepting a maximum of eight characters, but I definitely hope to allow more in future

Age: 16
