*A strong gladiator holding a sword enters. Some slaves struggle to hold a lion in place. The lion breaks free from their grip, and charges at the gladiator. It easily over powers him, knocking him to the floor, and mauling him. It then turns it's attention to the crowds, more specifically, the group, and it runs at them*
Rosaline: LION AT 8 O'CLOCK!
*The crowd start to flee, leaving just the group and the lion*
Xoclin: We need to run!
Sea: No, we stay and fight!
*Sea picks up a rock lying around, and throws it at the lion's face. It roars in pain, before falling to the ground. Amara then runs and grabs the gladiator's sword, sending it through the lion's heart*
Amara: It's dead
*The group then realize the emperor was watching them*
Emperor: Why, I saw, aren't you all amazing! But still, my birthday is ruined!
Zachary: Aww, we're sorry to hear that? Is there anything we can do to make it up to you?
Emperor: Well, there is one thing. I need some replacement gladiators. I've got a couple of slaves locked up in the back, two of them will do! Here's the map!
*The emperor tosses the group a map. It has a big red X where the slave house is. There is also a picture of a lion's head in the corner*
Emperor: Oh yes,you may be wondering about the lion in the corner. The skin of that lion is priceless. It was stolen from my father many years ago. I'll let you keep it if you find it
Pheobe: What's to bet that's the artifact?
Megan: Very high
*The group hurries out, and starts looking for the slave house. They find it. Nearly a dozen slaves are locked in a tiny cell, squished together. There are at least five dead*
Slave: Please, help us!
*Suddenly, a hooded figure appears in the cage. They take off their hood, to reveal Iman*
Iman: Slaves, I can give you everything you've ever wanted. Freedom, money, and family! Al you need to do is say yes
Slaves: Oh course, yes!
*One by one, the slaves disappear. Once they are all gone, Iman looks at the group*
Iman: Whoops, looks like I was too late!
Megan: Where did you send them?
Iman: To the slaughter, of course. We wouldn't want you to get your hands on them, would you
*Screams ring out through the street. Iman suddenly disappears*
Pheobe: Great, what do we tell the emperor now?
Zachary: I say we find the lion skin. It's got to be the next artifact
Xoclin: But this city is huge, we'll spend all year looking for it!
*Luna starts digging through the floor*
Rosaline: Luna, what are you doing?
Luna: I'm just checking...
*Luna digs up a map, in a chest. She takes it out, and reads the note next to it*
Luna: It says: This skin is of that of the first lion. Falling into the wrong hands, it could destroy everything. Only those that seek, but wish not to use the skin can see the following clues. You must find it, before they do. The next clue is in my house. It is marked with a circle. I hid it in the heating system. Hurry
Pheobe: What did you say?
Amara: The skin is in this person's house! Lets go!
*The group find the house, and knock. A young man opens the door*
Citizen: Yes?
Sea: May we look around?
Citizen: Most certainly not
Luna: We just need to do something...our house burned down
Citizen: Pray to the gods?
Amara: Nah
Xoclin: Yes, that is what we want to do. Pray to the gods!
Citizen: Well, by all means, come in!
*The citizen lets them in. Luna then suddenly punches the citizen in the face. He is knocked unconscious*
Luna: Lets just hope he has no family!
*Everyone starts searching, until Zachary finds the way down*
Zachary: I've found the way into the heating system!
*Everyone goes into the heating system, search for a while, before Megan finds the next clue. She reads it*
Megan: If you are reading this, then you are pure. The skin is hidden in the baths, but be careful, there are many spies
Sea: Well, I've been needing a good bath. I stink from all that smoke
Pheobe: What happened?
Sea: It's a long story. I'll tell you if we get out of here*
Jamie: I've found the baths on the map. They are close
*The group set out towards the baths. They get into the social zone*
Rosaline: There's a men side, and a women side. Who knows which side it's on
Pheobe: Or what part
Sea: From my school history lessons, I know there are different areas:
The changing room
The exercise room
The open-air swimming pool
The hot room
The massage rooms
And the cold room/ the main bath itself
Megan: Okay. There are six rooms, and seven of us
Luna: But the issue is...They are split up into genders, meaning there are fourteen rooms, plus this social room. I say we enjoy bath life, but are on the search while getting our skin treatments
Amara: I would say no time for relaxing, but that's a good idea. If there are spy's here, they won't suspect a thing. Don't get carried away, we're here for a mission. We haven't come all the way back to Roman times for a bath, but I agree. If I'm going to die tonight, I want one last spa treatment first
Sea: So it's settled
*Jamie, Xoclin and Zachary go into the men's changing rooms. Luna, Sea, Megan, Pheobe, Amara and Rosaline go into the female changing rooms*
MEN'S CHANGING ROOM:
Xoclin: Right, so how hidden could a lion skin be in a Roman bath?
*Xoclin then looks up, and sees a wall full of different lion skins*
Xoclin: Right
Zachary: I know for a fact it isn't one of them. Whoever hid it has already sent us on a crazy scavenger hunt, they wouldn't just put in plain sight
*Xoclin looks around again*
Xoclin: Right, so you know how this is a changing room. What exactly do we change into? We weren't given anything, and we didn't bring anything
*Jamie comes out of a stall naked*
Jamie: So, you've never been to a Roman bath before?
Zachary: No
Jamie: Neither have I, but it's what everyone else is doing!
*Xoclin and Zachary look at each other*
WOMEN'S CHANGING ROOMS:
*The women's changing room is empty, apart from the guests and a slave. The group is looking everywhere*
Sea: I can't see it
*Megan is wearing a swimsuit*
Megan: How do I look?
Pheobe: Great, but I don't think swimsuits have been invented yet
Megan: Right, I forgot...but what do we wear? Oh...
Amara: Oh great, Megan just reminded me. Suddenly, I don't think I like this idea too much
Rosaline: Right, I've got an idea. If swimsuits haven't been invented yet, then we invent them!
*Rosaline starts turning her toga into a swimsuit*
Rosaline: Easy
Amara: But no everyone has your talent
Luna: You know what, I'm not embarrassed. Me and Rosaline will do the spa stuff, and we will make a big distraction. During that time, all of you will get to search each room properly. That is, unless you want a spa treatment
Megan: I value my privacy
Rosaline: Okay Google. Anyone else?
Sea: It really something to get a Roman bath, but it's also really something to be naked in front of strangers, and for that reason, I'm out
Rosaline: Okay Deborah Meadon, anyone else?
Pheobe: I'll pass
Amara: I'm with Pheobe, thanks
Rosaline: Okay Luna, lets take these baths by storm!
MEN'S EXERCISE ROOM:
*Jamie, Xoclin and Zachary enter. The room is full of ancient exercise equipment, and nothing else*
Zachary: I don't think it's in here. There's no-where it could be hidden, unless it's under the tiles
Jamie: Next room then
Xoclin: Yes please. The faster this humiliation is over, the better!
WOMEN'S EXERCISE ROOM:
*Luna and Rosaline search, but don't find anything*
Rosaline: Skip!
MEN'S HOT ROOM:
*Jamie, Xoclin and Zachary pile into the hot room. There are plenty of places a lion skin could be hidden. They all check thoroughly until...Xoclin finds a hidden compartment*
Xoclin: Whoa, I found a lock. No key though
*Some words start appearing on the compartment. S-K-I-N*
Xoclin: It's in here!
WOMEN'S HOT ROOM:
*The women's hot room is packed. Luna and Rosaline manage to slip in. A couple of people look at Rosaline's "Swinmuit"
Rosaline: It's the latest invention, from the great Inventus himself!
*A couple people start touching it. Luna suddenly collapses. Everyone in the room starts panicking, carrying Luna out towards the bath's doctor. The rest of the girls then sneak it. They all search, until Pheobe finds a key*
Sea: That looks promising. Lets re-group with the others
Amara: But we can't just go walking into the mens' area
Sea: So we wait for them
*Everyone returns to the social area, and waits for the men. Eventually, they arrive*
Sea: Guys, we found a key!
Xoclin: Really? We could a lock!
*Jamie goes back to the room, and unlocks the compartment, then pulls out the lion skin. He returns to the group*
Jamie: So, we have the artifact! Lets go!
Man: NOT SO FAST! GIVE ME THAT SKIN!
*The man is giant, towering over everyone*
Man: NOW!
Jamie: Out of my dead fingers!
Man: VERY WELL!
*The man pulls a knife out of his pocked, and stabs Jamie*
Zachary: JAMIE, NO!
*The man rips the skin out of Jamie's hands. Luna suddenly comes out from the doctor's room*
Luna: Did we get it? Oh my god Jamie!
*Luna runs over the Jamie's body. The man shrieks, knocking Luna to the floor. More men rush into the room, and start grabbing the man, and pulling him away, mean whole another two start carrying Jamie'e body away*
Officer 1: What happened?
Luna: That man stabbed him
*Luna silently slips the skin into her pocket*
Officer 2: Any reason?
Luna: Not that I could see. It wasn't provoked or anything
*The officers carry Jamie's body away*
Sea: Poor Jamie. I wasn't expecting anything like that to happen
Amara: Guys, I know this is sad, but the emperor's going to be wondering where we are!
Sea: Shoot, the emperor, yeah!
*The group hurries back to the amphitheater*
Emperor: What took so long? And where are my slaves? And what are you wearing?
Rosaline: The latest Roman fashion!
Pheobe: Our enemy killed the slaves
Emperor: What enemy?
Zachary: Iman
Emperor: Who is this Iman?
Sea: Our enemy
Emperor: My birthday is still ruined! For failing my mission, I command you to vote two to become gladiators. I want to see blood spilled!
Let me know if your prefer long or short episodes. Originally, I was only going to do the Emperor bit, but then I decided it needed to be more fleshed out, and I got carried away. I had to cut the bath scene down, because I wanted them to find it in the final room, but I didn't want to bore everyone to death lol
