Got to the hospital around 8:30 this morning and left a little before 5pm. Blood tests and meeting w doctor took about 90 minutes and 6-7 hours in the chair getting treatment. Was told it took a little longer the first time due to the IV being slower to ensure there were no allergic reaction or anything.
Overall it really wasn’t that bad (other than the needle falling out of the port and nearly causing an infection if we didn’t figure it out soon enough), really the only thing I’m left with is chest pain where the port is and a good amount of body fatigue. I have 2 types of nausea medication as they should be needed shortly since that’s the biggest side effect.
Next up is over-the-phone checkup this Thursday
Then bloodwork and in person checkup next Tuesday
And another chemo appt 2 weeks from today on Tuesday
