I would like to address you all on a serious manner right now. Teen Suicide / Depression.
Today, I just returned from the Mental Health Centers here in Central Florida. Over the weekend, I had told a friend that I was having thoughts of hanging myself this weekend. He reported me to the school guidance counselor. This morning, i was pulled out of 1st and 2nd period for interrogation. They came to the verdict that I needed professional help and proceeded to call my parents, (after much begging not to) and gave me two options. Both of which led to me in the centers. This then led me to a 7-hour evaluation phase, and I was scheduled to weekly outpatient therapy.
Here's my message. Talk to people. Don't bottle it up, like I did. There's help out there, and there are people that WANT to help you. Please call 1-800-SAVE-A-FRIEND if you feel that you, or a friend, need professional help.
