Pokemon Sword Blind Day #1

May 16, 2020 by Rocker917
I followed Boots22 's blog series of ranking all the Pokemon in Galar and decided I'm going to start my first playthrough of Pokemon Sword and blog the experience and my team as they develop.
(pyn to be tagged)

Day 1: I started the journey in Galar. I met the champion Leon, and my rival Hop. I choose Sobble as my starter. I completed the base tutorial for the game, up through the beginning of the gym challenge. On Route 1 I caught a Rookidee, who I plan to keep as a core member of the team for now (I've got plans for him! I may be going through this region blind, but its not my first pokemon game ;) )
I've challenged Hop twice, and beat him twice now. I met Sonia and her grandmother. On Route 2 I caught a Yamper(don't think he'll be around as long) I'm really liking the way this game almost plays out like a season of the show! The last new region I played was Sun when it first released, so I'm really excited about this! Tomorrow I plan to at least challenge the first gym and post an update through that

Team:
Sobble - Level 11
Rookiedee - Level 9
Yamper - Level 7

Imthtawesom I haven't gotten very far into it, but I'm enjoying. My friend who didn't play many generation besides Generation 2 on the gameboy said he really enjoyed playing through Shield.
Its fairly quick I've been told, and it seems similar in pace to the first generation. I dunno what your experience with Pokemon games is, but if you've played a few of the main series games or Pokemon Stadium and stuff like that and enjoyed playing Pokemon on console you'd like this. I've been hoping they'd do a 3D console pokemon game since Stadium and Gale of Darkness so I'm thrilled about this.
