Yesterday, my boyfriend got his schedule from chiptole and got his Saturday request denied. He works as a grill and his days off are Thursday and Sunday. He asked his manager to cover the shift for Sunday but told him no.
Anyways, my aunt invited my boyfriend when I was in the hospital before telling me about the SeaWorld trip sometime in June. 2 weeks ago we found out we will be going this Saturday. My boyfriend asks if we can go on Sunday since everyone is free and she told me that she cannot do that because she wants to rest before work tomorrow. The thing is we are not going all day and we back home in the evening like 4 to 5 pm lmao. She said she will ask my cousin's friends if they want to go. Asked me if I still want to go. I honestly don't but giving me a choice I don't need to but obligated as a family trip. She cannot get Friday off so we have to go on the weekend. I cannot get time off due to training on the weekday, and my boyfriend wanting to go more than any of us because he cannot get time off. I don't know how to bring up how I feel. Replacing my boyfriend before telling him she cannot do Sunday like she has big plans. He was going to come early in the morning to take a train and he has done a lot for me to save my aunt from driving me far. I felt like my aunt could accommodate and this weekend is our 6 months together and she knew about it.
She is intimidating to approach and I don't want to be disrespectful. I am like whatever like should I even go at this point? I been through a lot and they waited on me to recover to go and would not let my boyfriend come because she doesn't want to go because of "rest" she can use saturday to rest as well and I feel going early after a long week of work and resting then going early after a nice rest would be more effective.
