Casting Algo...

In case you had no idea how #Casting algo selects nominations, I created a fake scenario of the final nominations at F5 from the F6 comp/keys. Please take into consideration that the length of the game makes nominations more complex.

BEFORE you get confused about how I explain the algo in casting, please note:

1. Yes, the housemates that performed the worst (Bottom 2/3) are most likely to be nominated for eviction the next day. Activity may play a role over inactive users who did ok in the comp, but keys will be the main factor in safety.

2. Yes, the number of keys you find in casting will lose value if you (1) missed a competition (2) performed among the worst (3) allowed multiple housemates to collect keys. You rather have the same few collecting keys than everyone having multiple keys.

3. Although keys do not get taken away, pay attention to how well you are performing in the comps and how many people may have got a key. You would subtract your "valid" keys in case you need to find more keys.

4. The current competition is important, but your previous comps have some weight and consequences especially if you did worst in them. Play every comp to the best of your ability ideally in the top 4. Play the comp last so you know what scores you need to beat.

5. Algo checks different variables and conditions as explained in the final nomination calculations as you may be confused why some housemates that score really well end up being nominated. These factors such as keys and using them are invisible compared to the comp scores everyone sees.

6. Checks do not factor in the winner... Keys/comps determine it similarly to nominations, but the final calculations after the eviction vote determine the final 4 placements. Checks do help the chance to win casting by providing a time advantage and that is it. The more time you have, the better scores you will produce. If you still perform the worst with the most time, that will penalize you as you should perform the best. That is why users with the most checks do not win.

User 1 = 6 Keys / F6 comp = 145
User 2 = 3 Keys/ F6 comp = 142
User 3 = 2 Keys/ F6 comp = 146
User 4 = 4 Keys/ F6 comp = 141
User 5 = 0 Keys/F6 comp = 138

User 2 used 1 key due to avoiding nominations during the F8 comp

User 3 used 2 keys due to avoid nominations twice during the F7 and F10 comps.

(number) = valid keys

User 3 = 146 (0)
User 1 = 145 (6)
User 2 = 142 (2)
User 4 = 141 (4)
User 5 = 138 (0)

Final Nomination calculations:
User 1 = 145 [Highest amount of keys ensures safety]
User 4 = 141 [Second highest amount of keys]
User 2 = 142 [The third highest amount of keys]
User 3 = 146 [Although scored the highest, they used all their keys and avoided nominations when they should have been up. Having a valid key and the top score may have kept them safe. Since the other users maintain top scores and not used their keys, they are promised safety over those that did worse in the comps by being in the bottom]
User 5 = 138 [Nominated for not having any keys and being at the bottom. Keys vs. non-keys will be nominated]

Um wrong but you did that!

Madame - I mean nobody but randomize knows the actual programming in the algo for casting, but a lot that has been mentioned contains factual information that I learned from other users throughout the year.

This is a lot to read but please tell me this answers HOW SOMEONE CAN WIN WITH 0 KEYS because I’ve been called a liar multiple times for winning a castings with 0 keys.

Blixa - Did you score among the Top 3 each comp?
Sent by Robbie626,Mar 24, 2023
Yes always unless it’s deal and I had the most checks Robbie626

Blixa Comps are the main factor that determines the winner. I am doing comp rankings for each comp in my current castings:

I will let you know how comps determine the winner. The person with the best comp average and final comp score does win. This happened when I had the most checks and got 2nd. A user with the least amount of keys and checks but got 1st in the final comp won.

I think a lot of this makes sense but I think you underestimate the importance of checks

In my experience you can’t win unless you have at least 1 key. You could have the best stats compared to everyone with every variable, but with zero keys you’ll place 2nd

I’ve had games where I’m the best scorer, most checks, etc. then go up for 6th or 7th if every single person has a key except me

I also find that final 4 is going to be determined primarily on check count to determine final placings, and I see challenge wins factoring in as a secondary

Keys are basically useless, but you need at least 1 to guarantee a spot on final day unless your checks are phenomenal but even then if everyone has at least 1 key but you, algo will kick you to the wolves

I thought checks were extremely important in considering. The known formula stated by randomize was 30/30/30/10 which are keys, checks, comps, and secret sauce by him. Somewhere when the mobile comps were implemented users noticed checks don’t mean much but comps mean so much more.

Checks are extremely important still. They are correlated to the amount of time for your daily comps. The more time = the better scores you have. The better scores you have, the chance of avoiding nominations and winning improves.

Keys depends how active the game is and how many keys there are. If there are a lot of keys, then the game will require a certain amount of keys. I just see keys as a mock immunity idol and gets used when you should have been sent to the block. Close games May take into account how many checks and keys someone has. One thing for sure comps matter a lot. It makes a lot of sense for people with higher checks to get better placements because the extra time places them higher in the comp ranking that the algo considers.

There is no way u land in the bottom if u have the best comp score and u have been consistently getting the best scores even if u have 0 keys

This is way off and my current castings is proof lol checks mean a lot

Madame - checks mean a lot for gain time advantage to do better at the comps.
