Previously on Survivor Luck of the Draw….we saw the returnees divide in half. Players like X and Scrolldrag wanted to target fellow returning players. Meanwhile….players like Natalia/Sydney/Blair/Del thought that a nice mix might make for the most success. In the end….X’s plan to oust one of the returning players failed….and Sydney/Del/Blair were able to convince newbies Hydroesha and Julissa to join forces with them.
When the Kota tribe returned from tribal…..Sydney/Natalia/Del were super excited. They knew the first tribal set the pace for the season...and that doing this would allow them to find footing in them game for future tribal councils. As this happened...we got Sydney confessional
“I am going to try to play smarter this time. I need to player SMART…..NOT emotional. Thus I am going to try to lay low for the time being. Their are players like X/Scroll and even Natalia who are super headstrong. I need to let them take the reins….and when the time is right...make my move for power”.
After this Hydroesha and Julissa met up to discuss how they felt about the vote….Julissa mentioned to Hydroesha that although the vote sent BB home...that they needed to be careful about the veterans gaining too much power. Hydroesha agreed that giving them any leverage might be bad for them in the long run. As this was happening...we received another Julissa confessional
“That tribal went good for my game. Now I have the 3 biggest threats on our tribe in my back pocket...HOWEVER...They better watch out for me. I am like a snake in this game. When they least expect it I WILL strike at them. I need to make sure that I am aware of every possible situation moving forward. IF we vote out Tester or Slothy next...I might be screwing myself for the long term. Who knows...maybe X will ride with the tide….and team back up with the other returning players. All in all. I need to make sure I keep up with my relationships with the newbies. I never know when i might need their help.”
IMMUNITY CHALLENGE: FANG TRIBE WINS IMMUNITY
When the Kota tribe returns to camp...they know that there is a job to be done. They have to figure out who to send packing. The first scheming we see...is Hydroesha approach Tester and Slothy. Hydroesha asks them what they are thinking. Tester and Slothy both say that X and them are still trying to oust one of the returning players. Hydroesha then said...ABOUT That...what would u say if I mentioned that Julissa and I want to make a move. The two acted super excited about this. They asked who they were open to sending home. Hydroesha mentioned that the others had already voted for Del..and that it would just be an easy vote for everyone. The both of them said they were open to it...and that they would approach X. When Slothy approached X...he told him what Hydroesha had just told him. X seemed a little skeptical...but said at this point it was really their only option..
X Confessional: “So at this point really my only option is to go along with whatever the newbies are wanting. Last vote I tried to take a little more active approach. CLEARLY It didn’t work this time...so I am going to try to lay a little lower this time around...AND HOPEFULLY WE GET A RETURNING PLAYER OUT:)
As this was all happening….Sydney/Natalia and Del were deciding what they should do about the vote. Del mentioned that voting out X might just be the best option for them. Del said...if the the newbies are scared about us voting them all out...voting one of our own out might just be the smartest decision for us. Sydney and Natalia both agreed this plan was the best option they had at this point. The three of them then approached Julissa, and told her about potentially targeting X. Julissa agreed to this plan...and said that she would speak to Hydroesha about going through with this plan. As this conversation wrapped up….the tribe headed to their tribal council...as Julissa got a confessional
“Okay so this tribal is hard. No matter what we do...someone is going to be pissed. However...I feel like I need to continue to keep this newbie/returnee rivalry going right now. On one side...X and Scrolldrag are STUPIDLY targeting returners. What do they think is going to happen when it is just them….and 8 newbies….we will vote their ass out. Then on the other side is Sydney/Blair and Natalia...who are trying to stick with each other. If we can keep both parties in the game by targeting some irrelevant…..Del...Maybe that is the best option for my game...HOWEVER...I need to make sure that whatever I do...that I am prepared to deal with that damage control that goes along with it.”
