In no way did I think I’d be here close to this long when I randomly signed up for this site as an 18 year old student LOL. That’s an odd thought.
When I think about what keeps me here, it’s not the games, or even reality TV really, I’d say it’s the people. I joined with a handful of friends from BBUK sites and made many more along the way, and I want to thank ALL of my friends here, old and new for being a part of my time here. I most likely enjoyed any interaction we had and there are some I know I will be friends with in the future.
Not only have I grown on here, but I’ve seen many of you become wonderful adults who are doing well which weirdly makes me proud 😂
This year especially, I’ve also made efforts to make peace with past fights and move on in a civil way. Grudges aren’t really me. I’ve acknowledged parts that I’ve played in wronging or upsetting people, and I am keen to move on, at least civilly if not friends. Anyone is welcome to talk to ne at any time. 💛
To add, some of you have shown real bravery and courage in reporting some traumatic situations you’ve been through to the mods. To all involved, I’m proud of you and I wish you happiness. It’s been a weird year for sure, but a good one in making the site safer, clearing our friends lists, and ridding this place of predatory people.
Anyways, I really hope I’m not here for another 13 years, I’ll be 44 😳 but who knows! This place isn’t real life, it’s somewhere to escape. There’ll always be trolls, but there’ll always be amazing people from all over the world to meet too. Enjoy your time here, and always remember, games aren’t serious ❤️
