The blue team was an absolute mess tonight. This was a disastrous blue team performance, but hey! Marc is gone, so maybe the blue team will have a chance to redeem themselves. Either way…The red team is getting the first four spots, I don’t care. The blue team needs to seriously bounce back.
7. Amber Lancaster- Amber was a mess tonight. First, not wanting to participate in the punishment (Just suck it up and drink the shake!) and the ice cold fish served to Ramsay just was the nail in the coffin for the blue team. This blue team lost Marc, but I still think Amber is going to be hard for Declan and Cody to gel with. She’s not a good team player, but she is a good chef. So we’ll see. But as I said, I won’t put a red team member in the bottom three after this service, so I will hold up that promise.
6. Declan Horgan- Declan was a mess tonight too. He’s been consistent enough to this point, but tonight was really rough and gives me a bit of worry. Declan had to serve a big table and only half of the plates made it there. Declan needs to get his head back in the game.
5. Cody Candelario- Cody was the best of the blue team today, but I do worry that Cody nominated himself. It was a bold move to ensure that Marc go home, but if he ever nominates himself again, I could see Ramsay sending him home out of spite. Why put yourself up for elimination? This is a game at the end of the day, but that’s playing a tad too risky. I still think he’s okay, but he needs to make sure he sets himself up for success rather than playing the game and being strategic in his nominations going forward.
4. Jordan Savell- Jordan may realistically rank a little lower for me, but the red team has just been really impressing me, so I can’t do it. She was fine today, a little rough in the challenge, but overall fine in dinner service.
3. Kori Sutton- Kori took the top spot last week, and she’s still pretty high here, only outranked by the two people who stood out most to me.
2. Mary Lou Davis- Mary Lou wanted to prove herself in this service, and she totally did. She earned lots of respect, and I think she’s definitely a big contender to win the whole thing.
1. Nikki Hanna- When Gordon pulled Nikki aside and told her how proud he was of her growth, I near shed a tear. Nikki FTW.
With Marc gone, it’s hard to say who the weakest is. Jordan was weak, but has since improved. Amber, Cody, and Declan don’t really gel as a whole unit, but I do think Cody and Declan work better with each other than with Amber. I think Amber may get left on the outs and might end up being the next casualty.
