Hell's Kitchen S19 Power Rankings (Top 9)

Mar 4, 2021 by PowerRankings101
imageThe chefs had to cook for their lives when Chef Ramsay closed the kitchen for the night. Lauren was the one who was ultimately sent home, and I do think that this was the best decision. I do think Marc and Jordan have had lower lows, but Lauren also wasn’t hitting the same peaks as others. Here’s a ranking of the top 9 headed into this new week of competition.

9. Jordan Savell- I’m genuinely surprised Jordan has still managed to stick around. She was having a rough time at the top of the episode, she landed in the bottom, and she was an inch away from being eliminated over Lauren. I truly think her days are more numbered than anyone.

8. Marc Quinones- Marc is like a cat with nine lives, but he proved in this episode that at least his cooking ability is up to par. He has shown he really can’t work well with his team, but in this individual challenge where he was able to let his ability take over, he did fairly well.

7. Amber Lancaster- I’ve always had difficulty ranking Amber, but this week made it a tad clearer for me. She seems to get easily upset whenever her team pins her the weakest link, but I do think between Adam, Declan, Cody, and herself, she was the obvious weakest to go into the challenge next to Marc. Sure, she may have great training, but she hasn’t been the same since joining the blue team, and despite having a strong dish, she did serve some undercooked Brussels sprouts.

6. Mary Lou Davis- Mary Lou was surprisingly one of the lowest scores for her team in the opening challenge, but she’s obviously been consistent enough where she really doesn’t have to worry about going anywhere anytime soon.

5. Kori Sutton- Last week, I was tough on Kori for being more detrimental for the red team’s loss than Ramsay gave her credit for. But this week, she was fine, sorta blending into the middle, neither standing out positively nor negatively.

4. Declan Horgan- Declan is still one of the best chefs and hasn’t really taken too many tumbles. HIs perfect 5 in the challenge, like Adam and Cody, shows just how good he’s been from the start.

3. Adam Pawlak- Adam really does crush it a lot in these challenges, joining Declan and Cody (and red team Nikki) with a perfect 5. One of the strongest blue team members.

2. Nikki Hanna- It has been absolutely amazing seeing Nikki grow from episode one. This week, she really proved just how good she was, getting the red team’s only 5 and dictating who would be duking it out for elimination. The thing is, she may be targeted a tad more by Jordan now, but I think that’s the least of her concerns.

1. Cody Candelario- Cody is at the top again. He continues to impress, and won the challenge today. As a reward for winning, he got to put Amber and Marc into the ring for elimination. The thing is, Amber will likely be gunning for him. The good news, Cody has been better than Amber (especially as of late) and he has Adam and Declan in his corner as well. Cody is really emerging as a true contender.

It’s been awesome to see underdogs like Cody and Nikki rise to the top now after a rough first few episodes. As for who is at the bottom, it’s clearly Marc and Jordan, with Amber teetering toward the bottom. Everyone else is a true contender for different reasons, and I”m very excited to see how it plays out.

PREDICTIONS:

Going Home- Jordan Savell
