imageAnother great episode for Tony: catching Ben finding his idol, winning ANOTHER immunity, and being secure enough to not play his idol on Sarah, getting Nick to flip and vote out Kim. Crazy episode, and well done, Tony. Is there any stopping him? With a double elimination coming up, here is how I rank the final 7, soon to be 5.

7. Jeremy Collins- Jeremy didn’t play Michele’s coin, and trusted Tony to secure his safety. My worry for Jeremy is that, now that he didn’t play the coin, how will things go down with Michele following tribal? Will he give it back? If Michele demands it back, Jeremy could lose the coin. But if Jeremy doesn’t give it back, he’ll destroy any relationship he has with Michele. I could easily see Tony and Sarah sacrificing Jeremy, as he’s SUCH a target and brought lots of attention to himself this week. He’s emerging as more and more of a threat as time goes on, and with Ben having an idol and clearly not Jeremy’s best friend, I could see Ben using his idol as a way to get rid of Jeremy. The icing on the cake was the small little quarrel between Denise and Jeremy, and I think Denise shushing Jeremy just shows that Jeremy’s early alliances aren’t as secure any more, and he is just relying on Tony, who seems to be a ticking time bomb ready to flip on Jeremy at any second. With an episode in two boots, I don’t think Jeremy can survive two—let alone one—tribal council.

6. Denise Stapley- Denise is the only person with zero allies out there. There was a bit of talk for Michele-Nick-Denise as a final three alliance, but it seems that Nick threw that out the window by voting for Kim, and Michele by giving Jeremy that coin. Denise is alone right now. Denise seemed fed up with the whispering at tribal (like all the audience is, I’m sure), but in showing her disdain for it, she may have sunk her ship further. She used an idol on Jeremy, gaining his trust earlier this season, but shushed him at tribal, possibly severing that bond. I could see Denise being targeted. It’s also worth mentioning that she’s the next biggest challenge threat next to Tony. I don’t see much room for Denise to maneuver.

5. Ben Driebergen- Ben has an idol, so I think Ben will most definitely survive the first vote. The question is: will Tony use Ben’s idol against him and possibly target him? Ben has been spilling everyone’s secrets to everyone, so Ben is theoretically a really good person to bring to the final. But because he’s so chaotic, he could very well be someone that receives votes.

4. Sarah Lacina- Sarah seems to have forgiven Tony, and Cops R Us is full-fledged going forward. Seeing how Tony has that idol, and he keeps winning immunities, Sarah could definitely be a back-up plan should Michele/Nick/Ben/Denise ban together. But Sarah seems to be very socially aware, and as much as I think Cops R Us’s targets just get bigger and bigger, I don’t see her going home just yet.

3. Michele Fitzgerald- Michele voted incorrectly, and she may not be able to get her coin back. Regardless, Michele has NEVER been targeted this season, so I really don’t see her having any worry of going home this week. She has the potential to turn the tides and maybe gather Denise and Nick and Ben in a plan to boot out either Tony, Sarah, or Jeremy. It’s going to be hard for Michele to win, but she’s played a solid under-the-radar game thus far, and I wonder how she’ll do in the final few hours of the season.

2. Nick Wilson- Nick flipped on Kim, and it may have been a good move in the long run. He’s now in Tony’s good graces, and being against Tony seems to be a death sentence this season. That being said, his case for winning is getting smaller and smaller. I think Nick is probably a shoo-in to make it to the finale, and while I think he has zero shot at winning, he’s probably the next safest person tonight.

1. Tony Vlachos- Tony has an idol, has Jeremy and Sarah in his back pockets, and has blackmail on Ben should Ben try to cross him. Tony has been getting his way this season, and obviously, his target is the biggest of anyone out there. But he also has the most to combat this, with an idol and immunity streak on his side. I’d love to see him continue winning immunities, but even if he doesn’t, he has lots of roads to maneuver.

Tony and Sarah seem to be in control, but I could definitely see people turning on them. But Tony has an idol. So it’s really anyone’s game, and I feel like the person who will unfortunately run out of opportunities is Jeremy. Too many people see him as a threat, and by almost playing the 50/50 coin, it already brings attention to him. He’s been climbing an uphill battle, and as much as he has Tony and Sarah, Tony knows Jeremy is a big threat and needs to go soon. As for who would also go home in this episode, my guess is between Ben and Denise, but Ben’s idol makes me think he’ll be safe. Nick and Michele are swing votes, Sarah and Tony are tight. I think Denise goes home.

PREDICTIONS:

Going Home 1st- Jeremy Collins

Going Home 2nd- Denise Stapley

And now for the EXTINCTION ISLAND rankings:

12. Adam Klein- We saw Adam have a REALLY tough time in that running challenge on extinction. Poor Adam just isn’t built for the PHYSICAL game of Survivor. Unfortunately, the returnee challenge isn’t strategically or socially based, it’s physically based. So I think Adam has zero shot of coming back.

11. Amber Mariano- Amber was barely shown this week, and continues her stay at the bottom of this list.

10. Ethan Zohn- Ethan also wasn’t featured much this week. I’m glad he didn’t pass out again from a difficult extinction challenge.

9. Rob Mariano- Rob had some emotional content from the edge this week, but got this content because of how much he was struggling in this Extinction challenge. He hurt his arm, which could be a problem going into a returnee challenge. I think Rob is not going to win his way back, and this was heroic send-off for a beloved Survivor character.

8. Kim Spradlin-Wolfe- Kim is a really good challenge threat, but she has zero fire-tokens, so she’s going to be at a disadvantage compared to the other contestants. She has an uphill battle, but on paper, she may be the most likely to win a challenge. Irony.

7. Danni Boatwright- Danni JUST missed out on getting a fire token to Wendell. Poor Danni. She has been getting more and more screen time. Could she actually return? Perhaps. But it’s still a bit of a stretch.

6. Yul Kwon- Yul managed to run that Extinction challenge with ease, but still gets a bit less screen time than the rest. I am not sure if Yul will be able to top people like Natalie or Tyson in a returning challenge.

5. Wendell Holland- Wendell was successful in getting two fire tokens this week, and had a great line when Kim arrived on Extinction. “Does your breath smell like peanut butter?” Wendell is a savage. I love the cocky Wendell now that he isn’t in the game. Can he return? It’s possible.

4. Sophie Clarke- Sophie has two tokens now, and completely dominated that challenge (behind Natalie). She’s a much more physical threat than people expect, and this could be a surprise if she ends up crushing it in the extinction challenge.

3. Tyson Apostol- Tyson got two tokens, and crossed the finish line with his friend Parvati. It was a good moment, and I think Tyson still stands a great chance at coming back. He’s already done it once before!

2. Parvati Shallow- Parvati may not be as strong as Natalie or Tyson, but she has SO many fire tokens, so I think her chances are much higher than most.

1. Natalie Anderson- Parvati and Natalie have the most tokens on extinction, but Natalie has the brawn over Parvati. Natalie is a beast, and showed that on extinction island this week. She was unstoppable, and if she shows this competitive side in the returnee challenge, I don’t see anyone stopping her.

PREDICTIONS:

Quitting- None

Staying on Extinction Island- Natalie, Amber, Danni, Ethan, Rob, Parvati, Yul, Wendell, Adam, Tyson, Sophie, and Kim
