Big Brother S21 Power Rankings (Pre-Game: Top 16)

This season of Big Brother is off to a bang! Jackson became the first camp director, Tommy and Christie previously know each other, and some mini alliances are already popping up. Here is my pre-game ranking after ONE episode of the show, including who I think is going to be the first one out after the Banishment comp, who I think will win it all, and where everyone else will fall in between. This is all based on first impressions, strictly. It’s a long game, so things are bound to change, but here we go.

16. Cliff Hogg III- Cliff is the old man coming into the season, so the target on his back is immediately huge. Plus, he volunteered for Camp Director and wasn’t picked, which means Jackson will probably put him up for Banishment. It’s going to be an uphill battle for Cliff, even if he stays in this first challenge. He’s the most vulnerable, so for me, he’s at the bottom.

15. Jessica Milagros- Jessica seemed to have a lot of support, but the house quickly turned and supported Jackson instead. This could be really bad for Jessica’s game. She may be targeted early on for coming across as a big player, and if she ends up in that banishment comp, she could be in lots of danger.

14. David Alexander- David was the third person who tried to go for Camp Director. He’s already playing pretty strong, and if Jackson was smart, he’d put him, Jessica, and Cliff in the challenge. I think David is going to make it through any challenge given to him, but the mere fact alone that he emerged as an early threat puts a wee target on his back.

13. Kathryn Dunn- Kathryn seems like one of the biggest personalities this season, but doesn’t seem to show any promise for strategy or physical beastlinesss. She may have the social game, but I could also see her becoming annoying for some. I honestly don’t have a clue what her strengths in the game will be, and we’ll have to wait around to see if there are any!

12. Nicole Anthony- Nicole seems like an immediate outsider given her quirkiness. I don’t think she’ll be able to fit in with the big challenge dogs, and will have to rely on her offbeat personality to fit in with some other people in the house. If she finds a good group, she could become an underdog, but based on first impressions, I can’t say she’s the safest.

11. Kemi Fakunle- Kemi may be a little bit too sarcastic for her own good, and seeing her go home early would not surprise me in the slightest. I do want to see someone like Kemi go far, because she does have lots of personality, and probably lots of great strategy. It’s her humor that will either sink her ship or make her swim.

10. Christie Murphy- Christie and Tommy know each other, and if this secret comes out, I think it’ll hurt Christie more than Tommy. Tommy is easier to get along with, and I think Christie could find herself just being a last result if she’s not in a bigger majority alliance.

9. Jackson Michie- Jackson didn’t give me great first vibes. Sure, he’ll attract lots of ladies, and lots of tougher guys for a majority alliance. But if an opposite side of the house gets power, I think he’ll be an immediate target opposed to someone like Jack or Nick, who will be more likable and less threatening.

8. Sam Smith- Sam has a ton of energy, which I think will keep him around for a while. He’ll be entertaining and all. But I think eventually, his steam will run out, and people will target him as a social threat. He’s a dad, he’s got a great smile, and he seems to be good at challenges. Not everything you want to keep around in the game.

7. Holly Allen- Holly seems kind of quiet, which makes me think she’ll float along to the end. But she just seems like too quiet of a player to truly make her mark in the end, which is why I think she’ll go out around the double eviction mark in a mid-jury boot or something.

6. Nick Maccarone- Nick seems super likable, but I just don’t see a winner vibe from him. He’ll make it far, no doubt, but I just don’t think he has the strategy to truly clinch it in the end. Perhaps a charming fan favorite winner a la Jeff Schroeder maybe?

5. Tommy Bracco- Tommy is a huge personality, almost resemblant of Frankie Grande— the previous Broadway dancer. Tommy has the relationship with Christie added on top of it, which puts a slightly bigger target on him than anyone else in this game. But, as long as he can keep it secret, I see him making it as far as Frankie did, around 5th place.

4. Jack Matthews- Jack is too strong to take to final three, but likable enough to make it to 4. I like Jack a lot and think he’ll already come out with some great social game and physical game. The only thing that could sink his ship is if he comes across too strong and someone in the minority wins HOH. But in the early stages of the game, Jack seems like a cake walk to at least jury.

3. Isabella Wong- I’ve gotten such good vibes from Isabella. Her pre-game content with her mom was hilarious, and I think she’s so down to earth, it’ll be easier for her to get along with everyone. Can she win? I don’t know, but I want to see her try because I like her a lot.

2. Ovi Kabir- Ovi is so likable off the bat, I could see him coming across as a little brother to some and not really emerging as a threat at all. We’ve seen nerds like Ian and Steve make it all the way, and I think Ovi can do it too. The only thing preventing me from putting Ovi at the tippy top is that he’ll have to dodge some of the bigger physical threats early on. If people like Jackson continue to dominate, I don’t necessarily know if Ovi can fit in with that crowd. If he fits in, I think he sails to the end. I’m a huge fan of his, and I’m rooting for the kid.

1. Analyse Talavera- Analyse had my strongest first impression off the bat. She seems super athletic, but also super social. She reminds me of Jessica Graf (my personal favorite from seasons ago), but a little less threatening. She seems like she’ll lay low early, then come to play late in the game, but has a sweetness that will really prevent her from ever seeming like a huge target to take out. I like her and think she’s my pre-game pick right now.

So right now, I have no idea how the season is gonna play out, but I definitely think whoever teams with Jackson has a better shot than anyone else, which is why people like Cliff, Jessica, and David make me nervous off the bat. I think Cliff is the safe bet here, just by being the older man of the season. It sucks that this is the game of Big Brother we have come to know, but Glenn, Steve, and Cornbread went home first for a reason, and Cliff may join that.
