Charles & Rodrigo keep ending up on the bottom and surviving, while Benjamin & Manuel, two of my favorites, were sent packing. Let’s see how the teams will do when they head to Japan!
5. Graham Campbell and Aaron Bludorn- They were able to avoid the bottom again, but you have to think of the five remaining teams. Timothy & Darren and Shane & Mark who have been crushing it week after week, Rafa & Esdras who are consistently cruising down the middle, Charles & Rodrigo who have been consistently in the bottom but cruising on some high momentum. Graham & Aaron have been the most all over the place, but they’ve been on the bottom more than they have on top. They said it best that they were the only team from the first elimination Final Plate challenge left. Alex & Ash’s luck eventually ran out, and I assume theirs will too.
4. Charles Michel and Rodrigo Pacheco- They have been on the bottom now a bunch of times, and have survived every time. Their luck has to eventually run out, but Japan seems like it could be in their skill set.
3. Rafael Gil and Esdras Ochoa- They were in the bottom this week, and almost got sent home. I think these two are likable enough, and they really cook awesome food. The problem the judge had was that their Mexican style didn’t blend perfectly with the Italian. I think it just depends on the judge, because I think these two could get more praise elsewhere by doing the exact same thing. Because of that, I think they’re dead in the middle. Who knows which judge they’ll get and if they like the Mexican fusion?
2. Shane Osborn and Mark Best- Shane and Mark have been pretty consistently awesome. They have become the true favorites to me, I think, and I hope they can take it all the way to the end. Japan doesn’t scream Shane or Mark, but I do hope they’ll be able to use their expertise in other culinary forms to rock it this week in Japan.
1. Timothy Hollingsworth and Darren MacLean- These guys have been dominating the past few weeks. They killed it in America, and then again in Italy. When Japan was announced, they got excited. This may be the stretch that leads them to victory in this competition.
I would love Charles & Rodrigo to cook their last meal, but I think that they got a big push this week. Graham & Aaron seem like the default choice, unfortunately.
