Survivor S37 Power Rankings (Top 13)

Mike went against the Goliaths by voting out Natalie, but then swayed back to give the Goliaths a 7-6 advantage going into the merge. David is behind yet again. Right now, we are at the merge time, which is the toughest to predict. Will the people with the smallest edit of the season go home? Will the big players be taken out? Will the physically strong be taken out? Or will there be yet another medical evacuation? Who knows? Let’s predict this merge boot.

13. Angelina Keeley- Angelina seems to want to call the shots. While Mike sided with her last time, I could see people backstabbing her above anyone else. She is very vocal, and people may be very threatened by that. Targeting Christian is also working against her, because nobody wants to boot their Brochacho or Mason Dixon partner. In the history of Survivor, we’ve seen lots of big strategists go home at the merge. The biggest names that come to mind are Gretchen in the very first season of Survivor, RC in Philippines, Michelle in Millennials vs. Gen X, Jessica in Heroes Healers Hustlers, or Hali in Game Changers. I see Angelina joining that list of strategic powerhouse women.

12. Alec Merlino- Alec could very well go home at the merge. He seems to be wanting to talk to some of the Davids like Christian. Strike one. He voted out Natalia, who was close to a lot of Goliaths. Strike two. And he’s a threat in challenges. Strike three. The only thing that may keep him around is the fact that he may end up being that swing vote for the David side, and his chances of winning immunity are high.

11. Elizabeth Olsen- Elizabeth’s closest ally just got sent home (poor Lyrsa). Elizabeth also just rustled some feathers with Davie and Carl. I could see her being an easy target…or I could see people wanting to drag her along to the end.

10. Kara Kay- Kara is lucky that her tribe won the past few immunities and that she was able to make the merge. I think Kara having Dan back on her tribe could both hurt her game or give her a really good shot to go farther. It all depends on how much of a threat everybody perceives Dan as, and how soon they want to make the move against him. Kara is someone incredibly easy to take out to flush Dan’s idol or weaken his whole game. It would be the smart move. Luckily, she’s not the most flashy of all the threatening Goliaths here.

9. John Hennigan- John is so strong, he’s obviously going to be a candidate for elimination at some point soon. But he seems to have the relationships that could keep him around for some time. This Brochacho will really have to show his social and strategic strengths in order to make it deep in this merge.

8. Christian Hubicki- Christian is the front runner to win based on edit and number of connections. But he’s definitely on people’s radars. Especially Angelina, who has gotten what she wants since day one. This is the most unsafe Christian has been since day one, but I think he’ll survive this boot.

7. Dan Rengering- Dan has some idols in his pockets, which is probably the only thing keeping him entirely safe. His alliance with Kara is threatening, his alliance with the Brochachos is threatening, and his challenge performances are threatening. Dan will survive this boot, but he has to have those idols ready for when votes inevitably fly his way.

6. Alison Raybould- Alison seems to want to make a big move against Dan. Now doesn’t seem like the time, but it may happen eventually. Is going against the guy with two idols smart? On any other season, not at all. But it’s Dan.

5. Carl Boudreaux- Carl is probably fine going into the merge as long as he keeps his nullifier a secret. He needs to stay quiet, smile, and maybe try to win a challenge or two.

4. Gabby Pascuzzi- Gabby’s longevity just skyrocketed in this game. She now has an alliance in Alison (and knows about all of Alison’s plans to blindside Dan, which could REALLY work for Gabby later down the line). She is also not the strongest person out there, which doesn’t pose much of a threat. Think about people who’ve cried a lot on the show (Dawn in Caramoan, Lisa in Philippines, Lillian in Pearl Islands), that have made it pretty far. They seem underestimated, and I think Gabby could ride that for a while. She just has to be careful that she’s not playing it too safe and show some strategy eventually.

3. Nick Wilson- Nick just made a big move against Lyrsa. I’m not sure how he’s going to justify that to the other Davids, but I do think he’s made enough solid relationships to keep him around for some time. He’s tight with Christian and Gabby, he’s tight with Mike, and I think after this week, he’s safe in Angelina’s book. That’s a good spread of people to be in with. As long as he isn’t seen as a flip-flopper, his alliances will repay the loyalty.

2. Davie Rickenbacker- Davie is going to make lots of friends, I think. He’s such a nice guy. Anyone wanting to target him before big challenge threats like John or Alec and big strategists like Angelina or Kara is probably making a dumb move. He’s fine.

1. Mike White- Mike is definitely in the best position going into the merge, and I never believed I’d be saying that about any celebrity on Survivor. But Mike is not a challenge threat, everybody likes him, he’s tight with Angelina, he’s tight with Nick. He seems to have everything aligned for him right now. Sure, people were pissed about the Natalie boot, but he could easily defend this move and say she was just way too weak and annoying to continue with. Natalie’s boot is way more justifiable than Natalia’s boot was. I think Mike is fine, and while he’s not playing a winner’s game, he’s doing enough to be in the best position to survive the merge tribal council.

The people who have been creating some chaos in this swap (Alec, Elizabeth, Angelina) seem to be the most vulnerable. The people who aren’t huge challenge threats (Mike, Nick, Davie, Gabby) are at the top. And then in the middle, you have the Brochachos. Anything can happen with the merge, but I think we’ll either see Angelina take down a big threat or be taken down herself….I heard they have jackets in the jury house!
