Hell's Kitchen S18 Power Rankings (Top 14- Part 2)

Oct 23, 2018 by PowerRankings101
imageNobody goes home…confusing, since I think many chefs gave performances worthy of garnering elimination. Kevin, out of nowhere, began dropping the ball, while Trev didn’t have any ball to drop. Scotley was bossy yet again, Mia underestimated, and Chris letting mean burn to a crisp. It’s beginning to get crazy with the amount of mistakes, and I don’t think Men vs. Women is going to make it any easier. That being said, the women are obviously much stronger in general, and the veterans seem to have an edge.

14. Trev McGrath- Trev should have went home last week. Though Kevin was consistently messing up, Trev did absolutely nothing and let his ship sink. Sometimes the worst people are those who don’t even try. Trev is useless in the kitchen, and I think this may be the day Ramsay finally lets him go.

13. Chris Mendonca- Chris is the only person this season to be nominated twice. He’s definitely vulnerable, and I don’t think he’s improved since the first dinner service.

12. Scotley Innis- Scotley was trying to boss people around on his team, but with these vets, he may start to shut up a bit. Regardless, I don’t think he’s in a great position.

11. Gizzy Barton- Gizzy’s team didn’t believe in her. I really don’t think she’s that bad, but people seem to think she’s one of the weakest. Cooking table side obviously isn’t the vulnerable position, but Gizzy made herself vulnerable for elimination. I’m worried that if the women lose, it’ll be her going home. But she does have a ton of challenge prowess that could keep her around.

10. Bret Hauser- Bret is a big personality, and I worry that he is going to butt a lot of heads with his fellow team mates. I think the Veterans were able to tolerate his big personality, but the Rookies he’s working with may combat it. It doesn’t help that the two Vets who are still with him are Kevin and Trev, who are also very confident in themselves. This Red Team as a whole is not a good combo.

9. Kevin Cottle- Kevin made some huge mistakes this week. Like HUGE. If he were not an All-Star, he’d be an easy boot. But it looks like Kevin is ready to bounce back and this was just a bad day for him. Unfortunately, he’s being placed on a team with far bigger personalities than just Bret. He’s got Chris and Scotley now too, and while we haven’t seen Motto or Jose in any sort of chaotic mood, who knows how they’ll act with this switch up? I think Kevin is safe, but I don’t know if he’s the sure front runner we all thought he was.

8. Ariel Fox- Ariel has been fine, but I think with some strong women from the Rookie’s side (Mia and Kanae), Ariel may get overshadowed.

7. Roe DiLeo- See Ariel.

6. “Motto” Chris Motto- Motto tried to be a leader on the Rookies, but there were so many big personalities. I think Motto has the ability to be a good leader, but he may get overshadowed by people like Kevin or Bret trying to take charge. I worry for him, but hope he can hang in there because I like him and see lots of potential.

5. Jose DeJesus- Jose was pretty successful this week, and out of all the Rookies who have had a bad service in the past, he has grown the most from his mistakes.

4. Mia Castro- Mia is strong, I don’t care what her team said about her. This switch up worked best for one person, and it’s Mia. Now, she won’t be pegged as the weakest by people like Chris or Scotley. Now, she has the chance to truly shine, and I can’t wait to see it happen. Or maybe Scotley was right, and I’m the idiot.

3. Kanae Houston- Kanae has been one of the strongest rookies in this pre-gender swap. She is entertaining on camera, but she also delivers on her food and cooking. Even when her team won, she brought up another incredible dish. She’s definitely long-term I think.

2. Heather Williams- Heather has been consistent, and is going to be a vital member of this stacked female team. Seriously, STACKED.

1. T Gregoire- T hasn’t had a slip up. With Kevin on a different team, it’s time for a leader to emerge, and I think T will be that leader. And I cannot wait for it.

I really can’t think of a reason why the boys would beat the girls. That’s why only Gizzy, Roe, and Ariel are somewhat on my radar. For the boys, I think one of the big personalities will be taken out: either Chris, Scotley, Kevin, or Bret. Kevin has proved he can lead, but had a bad week last week. Bret is just a lot sometimes. But Chris and Scotley seem most vulnerable. Oh wait, there’s also Trev….sorry I didn’t notice…he was too busy being useless.

PREDICTIONS:

Going Home- Trev McGrath

I feel like this season was set up for either Kevin, Heather or T to win, think about it, those 3 lost to arguably the 3 best winners in Hell's Kitchen History

sportsgeek12 I think it was too...but I don't think Ramsay expected to have such strong rookies. Also, I think he was genuinely shocked by Kevin's poor performance. I think, right now, it's T's or Heather's to lose

Hmm I personally don't think Kanae is stronger than Gizzy. Gizzy has consistently outperformed Kanae in challenges and Kanae could've easily been nominated last episode for that raw stake. Dizzy ended up being nominated for trying to help> overall I think Gizzy is stronger.

And imo, T hasn't been that great in challenges, bu she's definitely up there as a contender.
