Thank goodness Jen is out of there. She was toxic to her team’s cohesiveness and I believe she was the least deserving person brought back. Here we go with the top 14.
14. Scotley Innis- Scotley got way too power hungry in the initial lunch competition, and ended up getting paper towels set on fire. He also sent up three bad beef wellingtons in the dinner service. I think Scotley is walking on a tightrope, and his team seems like the slightly weaker one, which doesn’t bode well for Scotley’s chances.
13. Trev McGrath- Apparently there’s going to be some sort of Veteran sabotage going on next week, and if any of the Vets is famous for not following the rules, it’s Trev. He should be cautious.
12. Gizzy Barton- Gizzy Gizzy Gizzy. I had so much confidence to put her high up last week, but she was a big mess on the fish station and also in the lunch service. She’s going to need to get her head back in the game, or she may be going home way earlier than anyone expected. If they lost, she would’ve been the Rookie sent home.
11. Chris Mendonca- Chris didn’t do much to improve nor demote his standings in the competition. We’ll have to wait and see how he’ll do.
10. Ariel Fox- Ariel was the reason the Vets lost their lunch service. She was put on table side after, so we didn’t see much from her, but it’s clear that of all the Vets, she’s the weakest of the women now that Jen’s gone.
9. Roe DiLeo- Roe sent up some soggy fish at the lunch service and was nearly invisible in the main dinner service. I’m gonna be honest, I don’t think many of the Vets are proving their worth yet, and Roe is especially fading into the background.
8. Kanae Houston- Kanae was a bit slow on the garnish during the dinner service, and didn’t seem to recover without Mia’s help. But I do think she has a spark that will still carry her through for some more time.
7. “Motto” Chris Motto- Motto had a bad risotto, but he got lots of good content about his speed in the kitchen. I think he’s someone who is growing and will continue growing.
6. Jose DeJesus- Jose bounced back this week. He needed a successful pass at the fish station after his disastrous first service, and he was able to deliver. I think Jose has one of the best fighting spirits of anyone there.
5. Bret Hauser- Bret using his Punishment Pass was a big mistake, but it got him more air time and showed that he has confidence that his team won’t lose again. Okay, sure…let’s see how your philosophy goes, Bret.
4. Mia Castro- Mia is not the front-runner I expected from the first episode, but she is still one of the best rookies, if not the best. She did set a paper towel on fire, but that was entirely Scotley’s fault. She came in at the end of the dinner service to save her team from crashing and burning, so I have to give her credit for that.
3. T Gregoire- T has been consistent, but still hasn’t gotten that peak leadership moment. Still one of the strongest, which is good considering it looks like the Vets are even stronger without Jen.
2. Kevin Cottle- Kevin is a super strong leader of his team. But he’s coming across as a bit of a douche. But he’s the best. Like I said many times before, Kevin ain’t going nowhere.
1. Heather Williams- Heather was the one who saved Jen’s salads from being an utter mess. But her team didn’t seem to have her back when it came to the fries. I think Heather is underrated by her team, but I do think she’s got the most awareness of anyone on the Vets team. For that, I’ll give her the top spot this week.
Scotley and Gizzy would’ve been in big danger if the Rookies lost (if Jen hadn’t flipped out). But, they should thank Jen for another week. If the preview is true and the Vets sabotage the Rookies, I could see it being Trev, Ariel, or Roe going home. But I do think the weakest ones there are some of the Rookies, and Scotley seems to be the biggest problem for that team.
