I’ll start by saying now that this was the worst semifinals in the show’s history. But I can back it up saying that this was one of the best finals of the show’s history. All across the board, 10 acts showed what they were made of. Whoever comes in 10th on my ranking could easily win any other season. This was just a tight, competitive bunch, and I’d be happy seeing any of these ten win! Let’s rank the finals!

10. Michael Ketterer- I know I’m gonna get some hate for this, but… Michael does not have an act worthy of a Vegas stage. His voice is good, but often gets pitchy. And he also messed up the words (saying “ain’t no river low enough” instead of “ain’t no valley low enough”). Yes I’m picky, but with this stellar lineup, I have to nitpick here. Michael was the weakest for me tonight for those slight missteps. That being said, his spirit is what makes him so easy to root for and is what will bring him into the final five (with a possible win). He has such a determined passion that he brings with him in everything he does, and win or not, Michael will leave a mark on this season for the better.

9. Samuel J. Comroe- I love Samuel’s personality, and while his material didn’t really blow me away this time, I think he definitely has a career ahead of him. The problem with AGT is that you only get three to four minutes with each act, and I would love to see Samuel to a full set. I think he is really an amazing person to have in this final and though I preferred Vicki’s comedy tonight, I think he may have a better shot in the overall scheme of things.

8. Vicki Barbolak- Vicki knows how to entertain. I don’t think her material is necessarily my favorite, but she ends up getting the crowd to laugh every single time. I don’t think she’ll win, nor do I even think she’ll place in the top five, but she needs to have her own reality show for sure. I think her personality itself is why she’s such a standout. Great season for Vicki.

7. Duo Transcend- I love these guys. I feel like their act was a bit less mindblowing than last because they didn’t have the roller skates or the fire or anything. But the actual trapeze stuff was pretty dazzling and showed some of the biggest talent of the night. The blindfold added the extra umph they needed. I don’t think they’ll win, but I think they are some of the most talented aerial artists we’ve seen on the show.

6. Daniel Emmet- Daniel did an amazing job tonight. This was one of his strongest vocals, and a million times better than last week. The only issue with Daniel is that he is the obvious underdog. After being asked to do a different song in the audition to being sent home in the judge cuts to coming back and being nominated for a Dunkin’ Save and winning a Dunkin’ Save then being in the judge’s choice for the next round. It was a true roller coaster for Daniel, but I think he ended on one of his strongest. The statistics are against him here, which is why I wouldn’t put him in my top five.

5. Courtney Hadwin- Courtney has been a favorite all season long, but has oddly never topped my rankings. I think her audition was such a peak that the rest of her acts have seemed underwhelming because of that. But let me tell you, she is a wonderous talent and one of the most unique talents at that. I think she has some weak points here and there, but she knows how to entertain, and I wouldn’t be surprised if she follows Grace Vanderwaal and Darci Lynn in the “Talented Kids Who Win AGT” party.

4. Brian King Joseph- Man, it’s a shame he went first because I almost forgot about him by the end of the night. But BKJ (his intials) knows how to rock the house and will surely have a career after this. The guy’s story is enough to make him someone to root for. But his talent is what could give him the edge to win.

3. Glennis Grace- Holy crap, this girl can sing. I love her voice and think she gave easily the best vocal of the night. Does she have professional background experience? Yes. But this gives her the platform to become a household name, and I hope we see more from her in the future. A terrific voice.

2. Zurcaroh- This act is Vegas ready. Put them on a stage in Vegas. Vegas Vegas Vegas. I love these guys and think their storytelling and physical dancing itself pairs beautifully to create something far more than just a dance. This act doesn’t need anything like projections or technology to elevate their act. It’s their unity, passion, and undying spirit that sets them above the rest. I can’t wait to see them potentially win. I think they can do it.

1. Shin Lim- My favorite act of the night, and probably tied with Zurcaroh for my favorite of the season. The presentation is so smooth and beautiful, but the actual magic trick is absolutely stunning. I have no words after he performs and can do nothing but applaud him through my tv screen. This guy makes it look effortless and can easily headline any show in Vegas. The 9 of hearts may have just made this guy a millionaire.

So my favorites of the night were easily Shin Lim and Zurcaroh, and I think both of them will easily place in the top five. If you look at all of the Dunkin/Judge choices across the board, you have Samuel J. Comroe, Glennis Grace, Daniel Emmet, and Duo Transcend. Will any of these four make it to the top five? If any do, it’ll probably be Samuel, because I think a comedian will be in the top five and I think he’ll receive more votes than Vicki. But this leaves Courtney, Brian, and Michael. Michael’s pimp spot guarantees a top five placement (also with Simon’s backing), and Courtney has been the breakout YouTube hit of the season, so there’s no way she is short of the top five. But this means Brian is out, and I just can’t count him out just yet. Maybe Samuel won’t squeak his way in, but I imagine a comedian will be represented. This is extremely difficult, but because he went first in the night, I guess I’ll leave Brian King Joseph RIGHT outside of the top five (which SUCKS). Out of the five I have in the top five, I think Samuel (or Brian or Vicky or any of the others) will take the fifth place spot. The top four are extremely tough to predict. I’ll put Michael at 4 in case anyone had the same mindset as me. I feel like Courtney will make the top two, which means either Zurcaroh or Shin Lim will get third, and that breaks my heart. But I’m sticking with my guns and pulling for Shin Lim, which means Courtney takes the runner-up spot and Zurcaroah leaves with third place and a headlining Vegas show.

PREDICTIONS:

Winner- Shin Lim

Second Place- Courtney Hadwin

Third Place- Zurcaroh

Fourth Place- Michael Ketterer

Fifth Place- Samuel J. Comroe

Top Five announcement update:

Wow, I'm shocked Courtney didn't make it into the top 5. I called Samuel vs. Vicki being called together, and figured Samuel would make it through. But right now, with Courtney out of the running, it has to be Shin vs. Zurcaroh for the final two

Top Four announcement update:

I knew Michael wasn't gonna win...I think the judges and Tyra were all blindsided by Michael and Courtney both not being higher in the order. But let's face it, America is the one who votes and BKJ, Shin Lim, and Zurcaroh were at the top of their game. Michael had some missteps. Samuel is great too, but I'm shocked he made it to the top four. But I'm thrilled at how unpredictable the final is thus far! Let's GO!

Samuel is a gem. But seriously, don't underestimate Brian King Joseph. He keeps climbing higher and higher. I'm so glad three of my four favorites made it to the top three.

Top Two Announcement:

My two favorites made the final two and I am thrilled! But wow, BKJ really did an amazing job and will have a HUGE career. I love the guy and hope he leaves with his head held high. But right now, I'm awaiting SHIN LIM as the winner of AGT season 13. If not, Zurcaroh is is going to be a deserving winner as well

HOORAY! My favorite, Shin Lim, won AGT! Much deserved. But Zurcaroh is absolutely phenomenal and will make it huge. I am thrilled with the ending to this season and can't wait to see BOTH acts kill it in the real world. Shin Lim, you're amazing. WOW
