So I knew Juni may be in a bit of danger, but he really choked in the end. I’m glad he’s gone. Now onto better things, and a test involving seafood and Aaron Sanchez. Should be fun.
17. Ryan Cortez- Ryan was last one picked on his team. This just makes me think that maybe he’s in some danger. He wasn’t doing an amazing job expediting, and he hasn’t really shown himself to be particularly strong. If I have to bet on someone to be on the bottom, it might be Ryan.
16. Matt Houck- Matt was terrible this past episode and really blew it. “Potatoes!” “POTATOES!”
15. Samantha Daily- Samantha was a fine team player. But she’s one of the weaker ones overall, and I could see her going soon.
14. Ashley Mincey- Poor Ashley choked. She almost crashed and burned, and could have been sent home this week. She was strong in week one but hasn’t shined since then.
13. Bowen Li- Bowen has really been getting worse and worse. Poor guy started off so strong, but has since been in the bottom a few times now. His time is coming soon, and that time will either be the end or the resurgence of his game.
12. Gerron Hunt- Gerron hasn’t had a bad week since episode 5 so I think he’s in a good spot. I just don’t see him as a winner.
11. Ralph Xavier Degala- Ralph is there, but never the star. Sigh.
10. Lindsay Haigh- Lindsay was first one picked. Maybe she’s strong. We just have seen so little from her.
9. Farhan Momin- Farhan is out of his rut. But he isn’t one of the top dogs either. Coasting in the middle.
8. Mark Ingraham- If you look at everyone this season, Mark is one of the only people who has never been in the bottom or faced a pressure test. I guess the kid is floating on by doing pretty well.
7. Chelsea Sargent- Chelsea has been strong throughout the whole competition. She is fine for now.
6. SJ Yun- A strong chef who just happened to be on the losing team. I’m actually surprised by how many people aren’t getting much screen time.
5. Shanika Patterson- Shanika proved her strength in this past episode. I think she was in a rut, but did a really great job this past week. I think she may be having a turn around.
4. Cesar Cano- If there’s any guy who could win, it’s probably Cesar. But I think it’s a female’s to lose.
3. Emily Hallock- Emily has been at the top for some time, and continues to kill it week after week, keeping herself at the pretty top three.
2. Julia Danno- Julia led her team to victory and proved why she was a strong chef. She’s one of the only people who has never had to compete in a pressure test. Truly great.
1. Taylor Waltmon- Taylor was a rockstar this episode. She picked up Juni’s slack and really came back to pull her team out of the gutter. The true MVP this episode.
Let it be known, I’ve officially given up on Mark being the weakest one. I really don’t think there’s a clear person on the bottom. But the people who have been fading into the background like Ryan or someone who just choked last week like Ashley or Matt, will be the ones who are in danger of going home. Bowen is the wild card whose game could come to an end any day now.
