We are two Tuesdays behind on Top 10 Tuesdays, so we are going to post them now since we took a bit of a hiatus! This topic, in the wake of a mixed bag of a Survivor season, Ghost Island, here are the top 10 moments from Survivor: Ghost Island.
10. James’ Vote Off Reaction- The best reaction of all the blindsides this season came from James, who stared down his tribe after they voted for him, sending him packing. The evil grin on his face was perhaps everyone’s face when the Malolos just got picked off one by one.
9. Morgan Blindside- Morgan wasn’t the best character, but she was likable enough that her blindside came as a shock. It showed some strategic chops from James and Libby that would’ve been great to see later down the line. It also kept Domenick and Wendell on their toes and made them fight as underdogs for a little while. And it proved to work since they made the finals.
8. Aunt Patty- Easily one of the most recognizable loved one of the season. Donathan was great, but let’s see his Aunt play some Survivor soon!
7. Sebastian’s Blindside- This was an excellent move by Domenick, and should’ve honestly garnered him more respect from the jury. Had Dominick won and Sebastian a more visible character, this move may have been higher up on the list.
6. Brendan’s Elimination- Poor Michael just had to play the idol for Brendan, and the whole course of the game may have been different. It was still a good blindside for the audience, who expected Brendan and Stephanie to make the end game, but showed just how boring the pagonging of Malolo was.
5. Chris at Ghost Island- Ghost Island was a horrible twist considering all the cool items weren’t even on the island! But Chris escaping in the middle of the night to play a gamble for an idol was a pretty awesome moment. Had he played the idol, Chris could’ve become a serious contender to win it all.
4. The Constantly Moving Reward Challenge- In the final 6, we saw such a cool reward of a moving challenge where pairs of 2 had to keep running up and down stairs to put a rolling piece on a track, but run down to catch it before it fell to the ground. Sounds complicated, but it was one of the most exciting, nerve-wracking challenges of the season. Something you don’t see too often on Survivor anymore.
3. Angela Wins Eating Challenge- Angela was such a small character that I thought it was guaranteed she’d go home right after Chris. But she didn’t only win an immunity challenge, but it was perhaps one of the most gif/meme worthy wins of all time, where Angela had one of the most impressive showings in gross grub eating we’ve seen.
1. The Tie- Easily the best moment of the season. The two best players, Dom and Wendell, tied for the win, and Yanny, the goat, had to break it. It was the most memorable finish of all time, joining Tina vs. Colby and Yul vs. Ozzy for the tightest final tribals of all time. This took the cake, and was a great finish to a lackluster season.
