Survivor S36 Power Rankings (Top 11)

Apr 23, 2018 by PowerRankings101
imageLots of stuff happened in this past episode. Michael no longer has an idol. Laurel and Donathan chose a side. Wendell stood out in a dominant reward challenge. Angela redeemed herself in the grossest possible way (but hey, she had to eat those slugs and it paid off). And Chelsea got no screen time, yet again. Here we go, time to rank the top 11.

11. Michael Yerger- Michael redeemed his last idol play (which sent Brendan home) and played the idol correctly for himself. But now, he’s a dead man walking. He has no idol, no alliance, and nothing to really hide behind. However, Michael has been one of the highly edited people this season. This means CBS is setting him up to return in the near future on a future Survivor season…or it means there are more tricks up Michael’s sleeve. His back is to the wall, and it’ll be his own actions that will either save him or send him to Ponderosa with Chris and Libby.

10. Jenna Bowman- If Michael wins immunity or finds an idol, Jenna is next to go. She’s an original Malolo (there are only four left), and she was Libby’s tightest ally. Things don’t look good for her, and the fact that Ghost Island had nothing in store for her fares even worse for her quiet game.

9. Angela Perkins- Angela didn’t only kill it in the food eating challenge, but she also stirred up some chaos. She was the one leading the charge for the Michael boot. If Michael finds out it was her, she might be in some danger, but I don’t think Michael has enough pull to turn people against her. Angela is still the bottom of the totem pole, but in a very solid, trustworthy totem pole.

8. Sebastian Noel- Sebastian is still in the Naviti majority, but within those Naviti you have a solid female alliance (Desiree, Kellyn, Chelsea, Angela), and the dynamic duo of Domenick and Wendell. Where does Sebastian exactly fit in? He may have to cling onto some alliances, especially since Jenna’s days are numbered.

7. Desiree Afuye- The preview shows Desiree stirring up some drama. But Desiree has been the only one to never vote out a Naviti (she didn’t vote out Chris, remember?). So there’s no way she flips on her alliance. What’s the need? I think this is a red herring on CBS’s part, and we’re led to believe she’s in danger. I think she’ll be fine.

6. Donathan Hurley- I don’t think Donathan necessarily made a mistake. But Libby going home means that there are only four Malolo left. After Michael and Jenna, Donathan and Laurel will be the only Malolos left, and while they’re tight with Wendell and Domenick, they are also super vulnerable. He needs to be thinking long-term.

5. Laurel Johnson- Same with Donathan, I think she’s safe for now, but once the numbers dwindle, her Malolo roots may put a target on her back. She knows she has to eventually take down Wendell and Domenick. When will she? That is the question.

4. Chelsea Townsend- Chelsea is invisible, but she’s honestly put herself in a good position to stay safe. She can’t win at this rate. But she’s doing enough to advance further, so I give her a tad bit of credit.

3. Kellyn Bechtold- Kellyn has an extra vote up her sleeve, and seems to be the central decision maker amongst Desiree, Angela, and Chelsea. I think Kellyn has a good shot of going pretty far, she just has to know when to use that extra vote to shake things up.

2. Wendell Holland- I love Wendell, but I think he showed off a bit too much last episode. Showing the idol to Laurel was a mistake I think. Winning the reward challenge for his team wasn’t a mistake, but it did make him emerge as a threat. He also got a vote from Michael. His idol guarantees him safety, but he may have to use it sooner than expected if this target begins to grow. He should start laying low like Domenick and let someone like Sebastian or Kellyn take some hits.

1. Domenick Abbate- Domenick actually played a great game this week. Yes, he is still a threat, but now that Chris is gone, he is laying low, which is what he needed to do. He’s making Wendell the shield, and letting Wendell show off in challenges which is giving Wendell more of a target than he has. If he continues this, he may have a tough time beating Wendell, but he’ll at least have a shot at the title.

Dominick and Wendell are the only two with idols, and probably have the best edits right now. I think Donathan and Laurel made a good move, but need to watch out to make sure they don’t get taken out with the rest of the Malolos remaining. Jenna and Michael are surely on the chopping block. I hope Michael can pull out a challenge win or find an idol, but with 11 people left, it’ll be tough.

PREDICTIONS:

Going Home- Michael Yerger
