Survivor S36 Power Rankings (Top 14)

imageJames went home, which wasn’t a huge shock, but a huge mistake rather….for Angela. Her whole tribe betrayed her in the third tribal council of the season, and she decided to side with them (Kellyn/Des) instead of bonding with fresh, new alliances (James/Michael). I think it was a bad move…but on the positive end, there has been no tribe as stacked as Yanuya is (Wendell, Sebastian, Jenna, Laurel, Chris). That’s why they’re my top 5, but let’s see how the rest of them rank on this week’s predictions.

14. Bradley Kleihege- Bradley lucked out, but the previews suggest that he may be stirring up some trouble soon. He got put on a tribe with Dom, who he seems to have good connections with, and Chelsea, who he was just on an alliance with. Libby and Donathan are wildcards, and if they get in either Dom or Chelsea’s ears, Bradley could see himself going home. He’s a big character in this pre-merge, and as we’ve seen with Brendan, Jacob, and Stephanie, this season doesn’t hold back when it comes to blindsiding us with eliminations. After Bradley consistently praises himself week after week, it would be sweet karma to see him miss out on the merge by one spot.

13. Angela Perkins- I’ve said my piece on Angela…if that tribe loses, it’s either her or Michael, and Michael voting out James was the strongest thing Michael could’ve done to get on Des and Kellyn’s good side. Luckily, they really sold us on an Angela-Chris alliance, so maybe she is going to make the merge after all (but I don’t give her too much longevity going forward).

12. Michael Yerger- Michael is the cat with nine lives. But a smart cat. He knew James was gone, so he voted for him. Now, he can tell Kellyn and Des he is a trustworthy person to keep around. I have a good feeling this will save him another day and propel Michael into the merge.

11. Libby Vincek- Libby is apparently this super villain (?). Is there something we aren’t seeing? I guess this means she’s going deeper in the game, otherwise, why even mention it?

10. Desiree Afuye- Desiree massively blew it in the last challenge (and blew out our eardrums). But she has a tight ally that should help her in any danger she’s in.

9. Donathan Hurley- Donathan should find himself in a swing position. It’s inevitable that Bradley and Libby will probably be the two biggest public enemies, so Donathan will have options going into a potential vote.

8. Chelsea Townsend- Chelsea is probably the safest one on the Purple tribe next to Dom. She drinks coffee, and that’s about all we know about her. She’s a useful number for anyone, and will likely be in lots of conversations should her tribe lose.

7. Kellyn Bechtold- Kellyn and Des aren’t going home this week. While their tribe seems most vulnerable for elimination, the vote proved that those two are a tight pair. Kellyn is leading the charge, and if Bradley, Chelsea, and others can survive the boot, she’ll have a good head start going into the merge.

6. Domenick Abbate- Why nobody is looking for Idols, I have no clue. But Dom has one, and it’ll be giving him lots of power going into tonight.

5. Chris Noble- While he is the most likely to go home on the green Yanuya tribe…there is no way they lose.

4. Jenna Bowman- She has a stacked tribe AND a showmance. Jenna may be the dark horse in this thing.

3. Sebastian Noel- Sebastian got his Survivor girlfriend and three other incredibly strong players on his tribe. He’ll be laughing his way through to the merge.

2. Laurel Johnson- Laurel may be seeing original allys drop like flies (the newest being James), but she is on a tribe that should overcome anything. She’s also playing Chris like a fiddle and knows exactly how to maneuver around him. Most others would become irritated, but Laurel is acting patient. That’s good social game.

1. Wendell Holland- Wendell was the MVP for me. Forgetting a bag at the starting line, running back, and still finishing first in the challenge. He’s playing a perfect social and physical game right now. All we need is some strategy from him, and we’ve got a winner.

Green team, safe. Purple team, should be safe, but the preview has me concerned that something is gonna go down. The orange team is by far the weakest, but without blindfolds, they may surprise us. I have a feeling Angela will pay for her mistake, but not yet. I think it’s going to be a battle on the Purple beach, and seeing King Bradley go home right before the merge will surely stir things up once the tribes merge next week. Without their leader, we could get a super interesting comeback story for the underdogs like Jenna and Michael. So let’s hope three times is the charm and Bradley goes home.

PREDICTIONS:

Going Home- Bradley Kleihege
