Survivor S36 Power Rankings (Top 17)

Mar 14, 2018 by PowerRankings101
imageOkay, so the tribe swap kind of messed up my power rankings. Morgan, who was incredibly safe in week one, found herself eliminated because of a brilliant move from James. Speaking of James, we saw the return of Survivor: China’s James’ idol. This season is already off to a great, and unpredictable, start, and I love it. I just wish we got more time with some of the lesser featured characters, but I’m sure it’ll get better as the numbers dwindle down.

17. Bradley Kleihege- Bradley is annoying lots of people. Especially Brendan. If Michael plays this idol correctly, and Brendan, Stephanie, Jenna, and Michael pick a target, it’ll almost certainly be Bradley.

16. Jenna Bowman- In lots of seasons, people throw their votes to the person they least think will have the idol. Jenna is probably the person they least expect to have an idol, so she could find herself being a default target if her tribe loses and Michael keeps the idol for himself.

15. Brendan Shapiro- Brendan is now in a minority on his new tribe, and his buddy Michael has an idol. Sure, Michael could play an idol on Brendan, but is probably smart enough to keep it for himself. If they want to target someone in the minority alliance, Brendan is the biggest threat to take out. It’s a big move, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Brendan is blindsided.

14. Stephanie Johnson- Stephanie was last in my original rankings, and first in my second rankings. Now, I think she’s back on the bottom again, now that she’s in a minority alliance. In the preview, she was writing the word “HOPE” in the sand. This is either producers trying to mislead us, or she’s going to be the obvious one on the bottom. She’s gotten a good edit so far, so I think they’re just trying to mislead us into thinking she’s the one in danger. In actuality, I think Brendan is the biggest threat in the minority alliance, Jenna is the safest target of the group, and Bradley is just annoying everyone. Stephanie should be able to stick around.

13. Chelsea Townsend- Chelsea has been MIA this season. Does anyone know anything about her? Anyone even know what her voice sounds like?

12. Wendell Holland- Wendell is likable and needed in challenges. But so was Morgan. It could’ve easily been Wendell going home in the last episode, so he better be able to find a way to get back in the majority. This group of contestants isn’t holding back, so anything can happen this season.

11. Chris Noble- The entire tribe basically said that Chris would be the one going home had he not been sent to Ghost Island. But maybe going to Ghost Island was the best thing for Chris’ game. He had time alone to focus on the important things on hand, and he is coming back into a tribe where he and Angela are going to be swing votes. I think Chris may be in the best position he’s been in all game. But then again, how much does that mean when he’s going against the guy with the idol?

10. Angela Perkins- Angela is as down as someone can be…her entire old tribe voted her out (Dom, Wendell, and Morgan), and the others on her tribe all put their votes on Morgan while she voted for Libby, so she is totally out of the loop. But I don’t necessarily think that this is the end for Angela. She’s aligned with Chris, who is going to return from Ghost Island, and if she can team up with the Libby/James/Donathan/Laurel alliance, then she bumps back into a position of power. I think Angela is a loyal person and has proven to not be too strategic savvy, so she might be worth keeping around.

9. Desiree Afuye- Desiree, like Chelsea, hasn’t been given any screen time, but she has such an awesome story, they won’t let it go unheard of.

8. Sebastian Noel- Sebastian has proven himself in challenges, so I don’t think he’ll be targeted this early. I still really don’t know where he stands, but I think he’ll be around making metaphors about candy for a while longer.

7. Kellyn Bechtold- Kellyn seems so confident that she has the numbers. But when Michael pulls that idol out, she may be a little scared. Is she going home? No way…she’s way too good at puzzles. But her alliance may not be as safe as she thinks.

6. Donathan Hurley- Donathan wasn’t even mentioned as a target, so I think he’s safe for a little while. He was such a big character in the first episode, which makes me think his story is in for the long haul, despite getting no screen time in the previous episode.

5. Laurel Johnson- Laurel hasn’t been a major focus these last few weeks, but it looks like she’s going to be the center of a lot of attention when it comes to Dom and his idol, so expect to see lots of Laurel from now on.

4. Domenick Abbate- Dom has an idol, so he won’t go home. But he’s definitely on the bottom, and needs to find a way to find a crack in the majority alliance. He’s the most ferocious player out there, so he’ll be able to find a way. But this Jacob and Morgan have both had their names on the Legacy Advantage and they’re gone. So Dom better reverse THAT curse.

3. Libby Vineck- Libby comes across as the little innocent blonde girl, like Morgan said she was. But Libby is in a power position thanks to James’ move. Libby made an alliance with Morgan, and betrayed it right away. Why? Because it was the best move for her game. She’s playing with her brain, not her heart. And those are the players who will win this game.

2. James Lim- James made the best move of the game thus far. He knew that the entirety of Dom’s alliance was voting for Angela, and he knew that Angela wasn’t going to go against her old tribe, so he used his numbers to vote out Morgan. Now, his alliance has the majority. It’s a great place to be in, and James totally redeemed himself for not being able to finish the diving challenge.

1. Michael Yerger- Michael found an idol, and not just any idol…the idol from Survivor: China. China was the first season Michael watched, and it was also the first season I watched, so it definitely holds a special place in my heart as well. For that, I have no problem giving Michael the top spot this week.

It’ll be interesting to see how these idols come into play. Domenick’s alliance is the minority. Michael’s alliance is the minority. But both of them have idols. So who will be the one on the bottom this time? The only player who has gotten an entirely unlikable, negative edit is Bradley. I’m placing my bets on him.

PREDICTIONS:

Going Home- Bradley Kleihege
