I enjoy all the teams remaining. It sucks about the passport, but I do still believe that the four strongest teams remain here. Let’s rank these teams heading into the finals.
4. Henry & Evan (Dating Debaters)- I love the Debaters, but Speed Bumps are hard to overcome. They have been a surprising team to watch, overcoming lots of things I didn’t think they were capable of. But at the end of the day, they’re going to have the highest uphill battle to climb. Can they do it? Absolutely. But with only 4 teams left, they have to do it at the absolute perfection and quick timing. That, I’m not so sure of.
3. Alexander & Conor (IndyCar Drivers)- They placed first in BOTH legs last episode. That was an incredible feat that really put them into consideration for this race. They’re ahead of the game, and now have the most 1st place finishes of the group. But it’s not necessarily how you start, but how you finish. They’re starting the leg off strong, but I just think they’ve made the most silly mistakes of the group, and in the finale, there can be no silly mistakes. I think they’ve been fun to watch, but I just don’t think they’re our winner.
2. Kristi & Jen (Professional Skiers)- They have finished top 3 pretty much all season. There’s no way they don’t make it into the finals. Once they’re in the finals, I think they have a good shot to win. However, a lot of those finishes, while in the top 3, have only been 2nd or 3rd. For the final leg, that will only get you a runner-up spot. Which is why I worry that they may fall short. While they’ve been hugely successful, I feel like they’ve never been the true focus or star of the show, so I’m putting them at the runner-up spot.
1. Cody & Jessica (Newly Dating)- This was the week that was either going to make or break this team, and they did enough to push themselves to the 2nd place spot in the last leg. Typically, Reality TV couples don’t win (Rachel & Brendon, Rob & Amber), but this is probably the strongest we’ve seen of any of those couples, and I think they have overcome the most setbacks with U-turns and betrayals along the way. I think they probably have the best edit of all the teams, and they’re the most popular, so I’m giving them my bet to win it all.
These are four incredibly strong teams. I think the Debaters are too far behind to catch up, and the IndyCar drivers have made the most silly mistakes of the bunch. When it comes down to Big Brother and the Skiers, I think both of them are super strong and have the capability to win. But I think Big Brother has the most fight of the group, and I hope they win.
