Well, Eric & Daniel were finally sent home, which I had seen for some time coming, and Lucas & Brittany managed to top both of the legs they were on (since they were the first full team to reunite at the mat on the first leg). Jody is struggling, but still hanging in there, so let’s see how these final five will stack up.
5. Alexander & Conor (IndyCar Drivers)- Had Jody or Team Yale not been U-turned, these guys could’ve found themselves toward the bottom. They did successfully finish this leg, but the U-turns were their saving grace. Now that no one is going to be U-turned, I think the Indy Car drivers are going to be a step behind. They’ve done great this whole time, but have also made the most mistakes of any team left. For that, I think it may be their time.
4. Cody & Jessica (Newly Dating)- I think Cody and Jess are still the strongest team here. They were just set back by a U-turn, which is why they finished so low. I really think they’ll be okay, considering everyone was neck and neck once the song challenge kicked in. They are toward the bottom of the leaderboard, but with 5 teams left, the race usually gets tighter, so I could easily see them bouncing back.
3. Henry & Evan (Dating Debaters)- People U-turned them for being extremely strong, and they proved that when they finished just seconds behind the Indy Car drivers who U-turned them. I think they’re one of the best, and without any more U-turns, they may just be finalists after all.
2. Kristi & Jen (Professional Skiers)- I thought they may have lost steam, but they do have some of the best teamwork in this entire thing, which is why they were able to fix their mistakes. They’re knocked down a peg from the top spot, but I still think they’re the ones to beat, and should be fine.
1. Lucas & Brittany (Dating Lifeguards)- Getting first place yet again is a huge accomplishment. They might not be my favorites, but I think they really put their all into these past two legs. They’re ahead of the pack now, so I’ll keep them up here until someone else takes the lead from them.
I really think any of the 5 can come on top, and any of the 5 can be eliminated. For surprising me and impressing me, the lifeguards are back on top. As for the rest, I think there could be multiple rotations of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. The Indy Car drivers are still the weakest team left, in my opinion, and I’ll go with them as my elimination pick.
