Top Chef S15 Power Rankings (Top 11)

Dec 24, 2017 by PowerRankings101
imageThe double elimination wasn’t shocking in the context of the episode, but I didn’t see Laura crashing and burning so early in the competition. Well, Rogelio and Laura are no longer in the competition, Claudette continues to kill it at Last Chance Kitchen, and the 11 remaining contestants are all fighting hard for the win. Who will come out on top? Let’s see!

11. Adrienne Cheatham- Adrienne is the only one who’s been on the bottom of every single challenge. While she’s never been the weakest, this losing streak just has me worried that she’ll bounce back. She’s the safest bet to go home in my opinion.

10. Tu David Phu- Tu has really lost steam since the beginning. His egg salad wasn’t bad, but he struggled once again with his sandwich in the elimination challenge. I think he is too unpredictable to put much higher on the list, and there have been people who are far more consistent than he is.

9. Tanya Holland- I had good vibes from Tanya until this episode. When she cooks on a team, she is incredible. But when it comes to cooking by herself, the pressure sometimes consumes her, and she put up a bad crepe and a meh omelette. I just see her being someone who gets lost in the shuffle, especially when the numbers keep dwindling.

8. Joseph Flamm- Joseph has been one of the strongest this season, but I think he hit a bit of a speed bump this week. His Denver omelette recreation dish was fine, but nothing spectacular. And in the main challenge, while he did fine, he wasn’t really a main highlight for anyone, and failed to blow anyone away. But the real reason I’m putting him here is because the preview shows him struggling in the next challenge. Whenever the preview hints something, it rarely comes true. But it doesn’t make me want to place all my bets on Joseph either.

7. Bruce Kalman- The one line that stuck out to me was when Bruce talked about not liking to recreate classic dishes. He prefers sticking to the classics. Okay..but do you know what show you signed up for, dude?

6. Tyler Anderson- Tyler has been good, then bad, and now he’s good again. He’s had some blunders, but has also put up some really nice food, so he’s going to sit right in the middle until his next dish pushes him on one of the two sides of the fence.

5. Christopher Scott- Christopher got the top spot last week, but he definitely had a set back this week. But even with a setback, Chris remains a fan favorite and a true contender, so I really don’t think he’s going anywhere. The main criticism for him was that he needed MORE of the relish, which they really liked. So at least there’s a positive compliment in his constructive criticism.

4. Carrie Baird- Carrie continues to climb in the rankings. After a disastrous first week, she won an elimination challenge and then continued to dominate in the quick fire and in the elimination challenge. Carrie is seriously a force in this competition now, and I’m really glad because I really enjoy watching her.

3. Brother Luck- Brother has been a favorite of mine, so to see him win the quick fire was awesome! Brother knows his strengths. He took a risk with the elimination challenge, and it clearly didn’t pay off, but I think he knew that he should take a risk while on immunity. I think Brother is one of the most passionate of the group, and he really wants to be there and wants to prove himself. I like the guy’s chances in this competition and hope he goes pretty far.

2. Fatima Ali- Fatima has not had a negative criticism yet. Baby Bear is hungry for the win. All she needs to do is clinch a victory and she’ll be the true contender that I believe she is.

1. Joe Sasto- Joe has been a key figure this season, being heavily highlighted as being a leader and being very confident. Joe proved himself this week, delivering an amazing chicken wing that had the judges raving. If he keeps this up, it’s his game to lose.

I think we have lots of contenders in this season. Anyone can really win it, despite some people being on the bottom more than others. Based on statistics, I have to go with the obvious elimination choice, though anything can happen so early on in the competition. I’m excited to see how it goes.

PREDICTIONS:

Going Home- Adrienne Cheatham
