Survivor S35 Power Rankings (Top 7)

Wow, what an episode. We saw the most vocal player and the most silent player sent home, but both in glorious blindsides. Ryan and Chrissy went from the king and queen of the castle to the bottom of the pack, and Ben continues to be the biggest threat, while Devon, Ashley, and Lauren carefully plot out every move and orchestrate to perfection. Then there’s Mike, the last Healer standing. Let’s rank.

7. Ryan Ulrich- Ryan has played brilliantly until this past episode. He was on the wrong side of the numbers, saw his ally JP go home, tried to get Mike to be on his side, got denied by Mike, and was forced to play his idol to ensure his safety when he wasn’t really going home. It wasn’t a waste, because Ryan was the obvious odd man out, but now he’s idol-less, and the only thing stopping this bunch from getting rid of the funny, charming bellhop is an immunity necklace.

6. Chrissy Hofbeck- Chrissy is probably more dangerous than Ryan in the fact that she won a challenge last week and she is a fearful strategist. But the thing is, people don’t like Chrissy very much. So why not keep her in the game and beat her in the end? Right now, JP is the only juror who I think will be voting for Chrissy to win a million dollars.

5. Mike Zahalsky- I think Mike could go either way. An easy 7th place boot, or the swing vote yet again. While Devon, Lauren, Ben, and Ashley have the numbers, they could use Mike if they want to split votes in fear of an idol. The only thing working against Mike is the fact that he cut off any chance of working with Ryan. If Mike feels in danger and needs to team up with Ryan and Chrissy, he won’t have that option, so he just needs to hope that they’ll use him as a swing vote or win immunity.

4. Ashley Nolan- Ashley is finally coming into her own, claiming she is finally playing Survivor. But compared to Lauren and Devon, she just hasn’t made the big moves. She is the one who wants Ben out sooner rather than later. This would be the move that could propel her to the top, but with the idol in Ben’s hands, she has to pull off the blindside. If he plays the idol, she could find it backfiring on her own Survivor journey. She already got votes from Chrissy and Ryan, so she’s on people’s radars.

3. Ben Driebergen- Ben has an idol, so he won’t be going anywhere. While the editing made us believe that Devon and Lauren may flip on Ben, I don’t see that happening just yet. Ben is dangerous, and his elimination has to be precisely timed. So I think he’ll survive through the episode. Even if he gets votes, he has an idol.

2. Lauren Rimmer- Lauren can win this thing. She organized this alliance of four and both of the votes went her way. While her social game may not be as good as Devon’s, she is still doing all the right things to progress through the game. Her biggest decision is going to be where those double votes are played, and when/if she gets rid of Ben. She will need to get rid of Ben to win, but she’ll need to do it in a manner that gets the jury’s respect, and doesn’t seem too harsh to Ben. It may not be this week, but it’s going to happen at some point. She has all the power now, she just needs to be smart about how she finishes her mission.

1. Devon Pinto- While Lauren calls the shots, Devon is the one who makes them shine. Having Ben play the double agent was a genius move on his part. He’s the one that puts the detail on the big moves, and he and Lauren seem like a well oiled machine right now. He and have a final two deal. He and Ashley have a final two deal. And I’m sure Ryan could try to get his ally back. Even Lauren seems to be swaying his way over Ben’s. Devon is the man on the island right now who everyone should be scared of, but because of his impeccable social game, no one is threatened by him (hence why Ryan and Chrissy voted for Ashley at tribal). He’s got the best chance right now.

Anyone can go home since it’s final 7. The playing field is low. But Chrissy and Ryan are on the outs, Lauren and Devon are on top, Ben and Ashley are finding their ground, and Mike is going coco-nuts. The bellhop may be hustling off to Ponderosa very soon.
