Sigh. Well, all of these awesome Survivor women (Ali, Jessica, now Desi) have been dropping like flies, at the hands of Chrissy. But with these eliminations creates a bigger and bigger target on Chrissy and her alliance members. We saw Ben get a lot of heat, and from the Healer side, we saw both Cole and Joe get some heat. It seems like those under the radar seem to stand a better chance than the rest. Let’s rank them and see.
10. Cole Medders- Immunity was the only thing stopping Cole from going home. Ben called him out on having an idol, which everyone believed…even Cole. Cole couldn’t even argue against him, and it seems like Cole is relying solely on immunity wins for the rest of his journey. The Healers are getting picked off one by one, and it’s obvious from the last vote with Desi that challenge beasts are more important to get out than strategic threats like Joe. Cole needs immunity, or he’ll be hanging out eating all the food he wants at Ponderosa.
9. Joe Mena- Joe should have gone home last week, and I don’t know why they kept him. But maybe they think he won’t get votes to win in the end, so they’re dragging him along. But should Cole win immunity again, I don’t think they’d waste another opportunity to send this chaos out of the game.
8. Ben Driebergen- Ben has an emotional story, and now has conflict with Joe and Cole (2 of the 3 Healers). Honestly, Ben isn’t in a good position right now, and should an idol be played or some of the heroes and Hustlers get a change of heart, Ben may be taking a seat in the jury.
7. Chrissy Hofbeck- Chrissy seems to be leading the pack on the majority alliance. But she isn’t very subtle about it. Whispering to Ryan in front of Cole wasn’t the smartest move, and I think she may be getting a little power hungry. She obviously knows the game well, but being the one calling the shots has its dangers, especially when you’re not secretive about it.
6. Ryan Ulrich- Ryan was probably the MVP this week, smartly hiding the plate, finding the idol, then putting all of the attention on everyone BUT him while he stood with the idol in his pink shorts. But all of this brilliant gameplay will be completely worthless if Ryan decides to tell everyone about it.
5. JP Hilsabeck- JP seems to be floating by all the way to third place, and winning some rewards in the meantime is fine by him.
4. Ashley Nolan- Ashley is slightly more strategic than JP, so she has a better shot of keeping herself safe. And I wouldn’t exactly say she’s strategic…JP is just really oblivious to anything not involving camp life or challenges. I’ll group them together because I think neither of them are in danger right now.
3. Mike Zahalsky- Mike is a healer, yes. But he voted with the majority, and he has an idol. AND, unlike Ryan, he’s keeping that idol a secret. Good job, doctor.
2. Devon Pinto- Devon hasn’t been mentioned as a threat at ALL, and I’m honestly surprised. People like him, people aren’t threatened by him, and it seems like everyone wants to tell Devon information. Devon could actually win this thing.
1. Lauren Rimmer- Lauren was my favorite person to watch this past episode. The idol hunt was great, but nothing in the show has been as suspenseful as seeing her sneak the parchment at tribal council without anyone busting her. Nobody saw that the vote count was 10 instead of 11, so unless somebody cracks the code after the fact, she may have just pulled off the biggest tribal council magic trick in the history of the show. I’m rooting for her, and with that extra vote in her pocket, I think I may be rooting for her till the finale.
Lauren and Ryan played their cards brilliantly this week, but Ryan is supposedly going to throw all of them down the sink next episode. But the Healers are still in the minority, and unless he wins immunity, Cole seems to be the most vulnerable.
Lauren and Devon are definitely playing great games.
Ryan, Chrissy, Joe and Ben need to tone it down.
Mike, Ashley and JP need to ungoatify themselves.
