Hell's Kitchen S17 Power Rankings (Top 14)

Oct 16, 2017 by PowerRankings101
imageDamn, one of my favorites is gone because Ramsay cared more about the drama in the kitchen above anything else. I’m not faulting him, Ashley did have a bad week. But I think Ashley has the potential to bounce back, whereas I think Barbie and Robyn will continue to be as toxic as they are, and Manda has consistently underperformed this season. Anyways, here’s a ranking for you.

14. Barbie Marshall- Oh goodness. Please hope that Barbie is one of the next to go. She just crashed and burned, but instead of showing it like Ashley did, she put the blame on others. Every chef, whether you want to admit it or not, is there for a reason, and everyone makes mistakes. So sure, you can call out a mistake, but don’t tell someone they don’t know how to cook. I think Barbie is the worst type of drama there is, because she does it with a smile on her face, and plays up the fact that she’s “nice” and the victim. Robyn and Elise own their sass and their mistakes. Barbie thinks it’s never her fault. And that’s where I have a problem, and I hope Ramsay has a problem too.

13. Manda Palomino- Manda is now the only person to be nominated both weeks. I don’t think she’s going to win this thing, but something about her keeps Ramsay holding on. I don’t know what it is.

12. Robyn Almodovar- I honestly don’t think Robyn was the worst this week. I think other people sunk the ship deeper than she did. She’s such a big ball of energy that I feel like people either love her or hate her for it. I don’t particularly like Robyn, but between her and Barbie, I think she brings more valid points to the game, and I like how she stepped away from fighting with Elise and didn’t go at it full force. It shows some growth on her part.

11. Elise Harris- Elise bounced back. Fine. But she is still one of the more problematic people within the kitchen, and I think it’ll soon come back to bite the team. For now though, there are bigger (more annoying, yup I said it) fish to fry.

10. Josh Trovato- I think Josh is still one of the most vulnerable men. But the men have been on such a high, I honestly don’t see any of them going home.

9. Jared Bobkin- Jared just lost Ashley, his best friend. This could hurt Jared’s game if Manda’s confessionals in the premiere were true. Jared has to brush it off and keep going. Jared has gotten a lot of air time, but I don’t know if his air time has been all that positive (aka the dreadful cup stacking). We’ll see with Jared. I think he may have an off week this week, but he’ll probably bounce back after that.

8. Van Hurd- I think Van is the only other man besides Jared and Josh that could go home this week, IF the men lose. They’ll eventually lose, but I don’t know when that will be considering they’ve been so consistently good. Van has been solid on services and food, but the previews show some flirting with Van and Barbie. I don’t know how legit Van is going to be about it, but we’ve seen that romance can sometimes stand as an obstacle. For Van though, I doubt it’ll take him down, but considering all the men are bringing their A-game, there needs to be something that sets them apart from each other.

7. Nick Peters Bond- Nick is doing great this season but there are still moments where I’m worried for him and think he’ll choke. He just needs a bit more confidence, and if he gets that, I think he’ll be okay.

6. Jennifer Normant- The women have been sucking a lot these past few weeks, but Jennifer remains one of the stronger three of the team. Let’s hope this continues.

5. Dana Cohen- Dana is another one of the three dominant females on her team. Dana’s only downfall will come if she interferes too much with the Barbie vs. Robyn conflict. In her best interests, she should stay out of it. She seems to be the voice of reason for that team, but she has to stay out of the drama if she wants to make it all the way without any blood on her hands. But for now, she’s beyond safe.

4. Michelle Tribble- Michelle is really getting quite the edit, and is the last of the triad of amazing women on the red team. She is getting the most positive edit of the bunch, and I think the fact that she is young is going to make for a great underdog story. Being young is a good thing here, because I think Michelle has the least prominent ego of anyone there, which is good. That being said, it’s hard to put any ladies in the top 3 seeing how their team is doing.

3. Giovanni Filippone- Giovanni was the leader last week, took a bit of a back seat this week, and should continue doing well. He’s been one of the pleasant surprises this season.

2. Benjamin Knack- All of Benjamin’s commentary revolves around food. Not drama, not any funny moments, just the food. He made a comment about the dinner seafood reward, and that was one of the only things we heard from him. He’s there solely for the food, and that’s good to see considering I think a lot of the chefs are there simply for drama and good television. Those who are there for good television last for a while, but they’re never the ones who win. That’s why I think Benjamin is in a good spot. He has a clear love for food, and that’s the only thing on his mind.

1. Milly Medley- Milly has yet to top my list, and I think we saw him step up as the blue team’s leader last episode. When you’re the leader of a dominant team, you have a lot of pressure on your back. But Milly has been handling the pressure and really succeeding, so I think he deserves the top spot.

The men continue to really kill it in the kitchen. The ladies team really needs to step it up. I think Barbie and Robyn make for good television, but we have people like Elise and Josh left that are sure to do the job, so maybe Ramsay can afford to lose someone right now, and I think Barbie is the weaker chef. But Manda is still consistently on the bottom, so don’t count her out for elimination.

PREDICTIONS:

Going Home- Barbie Marshall
